Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

From the top of Arthur’s Seat, near the Eagle gondola ride, we set set off for a walk around the circuit track. It was signposted as 1hour or 1.8km but we took our time enjoying the views until we came to the gardens. They are beautifully maintained and would be great for a picnic or bbq another time. There was a car park at the gardens if you did not want to do the walk or had mobility issues. Well worth a visit.

18:30 took a drive up to Arthur's Seat - So we could go into Seawinds and walk in the evening. As we were walking along the path there were around 10 Kangaroo's in front of us. They did not move too much as we approached slow, then we carried onto the view point - The weather was a little overcast so the view was not too good - Need to go on a clear "Blue sky" day so you will then have magnificent views over the Port Philip Bay.
We walked around the gardens reading all the information and there are several walks to do too.

The Seawinds Gardens encompasses a 34 hectare area at the Arthurs Seat State Park. My wife and I visited this place during our 1.8 km walk along the Arthurs Seat circuit walk.
Once privately owned, the gardens still exhibit many of the original European features. Exotic plants, rock retaining walls, terracing, tree lined avenues and infrastructures set in place by Mr Chapman and Sir Thomas and Lady Travers. Some of the oldest trees in the park were planted by Mr Chapman, over 100 years ago.
There is also a duck pond and a children's playground in these gardens.

Must-see if doing Arthur’s Seat chairlift, and even if you’re not. Serene, stunning leafy vista with tame ducks and their ducklings, cockatoos, and the occasional skink. The view at the end of the avenue of trees is spectacular on a clear day - on a sunny day in October we could see as far as the Otway Ranges on the horizon! Toilets and parking and an updated playground.

Try the 50 minute circular walk up to Arthurs Seat and back. Easy and wheelchair friendly if you just do the circle within the park. Nice children's playground at the main car park. Trees will be turning colour soon in late Autumn. Great views of the bay and Ocean along the way. Just one place where you have to cross the road.

Having been to Australia many times over the years, I sadly have never seen a kangaroo in their natural setting. After visiting clients in Dromana, I had the opportunity to visit Seawinds for a wonderful stroll in gardens and get great views of the surrounding area. Most of all, I got to see dozens of Roos up close and personal. Another box ticked!

Seawinds Gardens is a little known asset at Arthurs Seat and far better than the Seat itself for views, gardens, flora and open space. It is a great spot for a picnic and a walk and for views across Port Phillip Bay.

We did this as part of the summit walk at Arthurs Seat. It was a nice gentle walk and because no one else was around there we saw a mop of Kangaroos just sunning themselves.

This is a cute park a short walk from the Eagle Station at the summit. We took a walk here via the outlooks which took maybe 15-20, not the recommended long walk it said. There are lots of picnic areas, gardens, open space, ponds and kangaroos.

Beautiful gardens for the whole family to enjoy. BBQ and toilet facilities to spend the day there with kangaroos and ducks and beautiful views of the coastline and fauna.

Hi, we are coming to Seawinds in March and a family friend is going to take some formal photos of our family, do we need permission for this to happen?
