About
Gliding quietly through the sky in a gondola at Arthurs Seat Eagle, you could be forgiven for thinking you’ve been transported a million miles away, rather than one hour’s drive from Melbourne. With uninterrupted views, framed by swaying gum trees and birdsong, grazing kangaroos and the trace of distant coastlines, you are immersed in a truly majestic Australian landscape. Named in honor of the Wedge-tailed Eagle, indigenous to the area and revered in local Aboriginal lore, the Eagle experience is one of flight through an area steeped in history and surrounded by nature. Gliding above and past the trees, you ride inside comfortable, all weather and fully accessible cabins. It’s an awe-inspiring journey as you ascend quietly up Arthurs Seat to the summit station.

Great day on the wings on the eagle
Visited Arthur’s Seat Eagle and haven’t been for a very long time. Todays experience was wonderful. Staff very friend.y and accommodating as l had my elderly mum with us. The gondola was slowed down for my mum to get on and off and the ride was smooth and we also had a gorgeous day weather wise. More people should visit. We will be going back soon to take our overseas guests.

Smooth as and a joy to go in
New Arthur’s seat Eagle is awesome -so smooth to ride on and great that cabins are big enough to fit 8- great for families. Highly suggest going from bottom to top as regardless if doing return trip you have to disembark at the bottom and reline up in the queue. No preference for people that have already started the journey. Depending on queues you could have to line up for a long time. If you go from bottom to top, at least you can walk around the gardens, enjoy the cafe etc and it is a more pleasant view and surroundings. Grandkids loved it and brought back many happy childhood memories

    Much Better than Anticipated
A really good experience all round. From booking tickets online to walking around the trails - very good. Staff are friendly, informative and available. Godola's are smooth roomy and out of the weather. F&B outrageously expensive but you'd expect it. Recommend packing food, there are plenty of spaces for picnics. A very pleasant experience.

    A fabulous day trip
We had a great view of Port Phillip Bay while riding the Eagle up Arthur’s Seat Hill. The gondolas are clean . So are the facilities at the top and bottom. When you arrive at the top, there is a short walk to the Enchanted Adventure theme Park. Which is suitable for all ages.A beautiful garden to sit for older people.Good cafe, could have more food for food intolerances. The playground was very good for all people from 3 year olds to 70 years.A boardwalk or concrete path should be built from the eagle ti the Enchanted Park, if it was wet , the path would be unsuitable and dangerous.

    Better than I expected
spur of the moment decision with 2 kids under 5 and we all loved it!! kids never sat so quietly as they really enjoyed the gondola ride. It was a beautiful day today when we went and being up there was a serene experience. I went on the old chair lift ride as a kid 30+ years ago and have many great memories so it was awesome to be able to share that experience with my own kids! Though i need to save $$$ to be able to make the most of the experience up the top of the mountain as the extra cost for the maze and adventure playground was a big stretch for our budget in these trying times

Go on a warm, clear day!
You’d better know what the ‘Eagle’ refers to as the signs leading up the mountain do not specify it’s a scenic chairlift. VERY winding and steep drive, but safe if taken slowly and sensibly. Look out views along the way are breathtaking. Carpark itself has incredible view. Centre is modern and clean with toilets and restaurant/cafe options. Scenic chairlift itself is worth the money - goes slowly so you can take in the sight, and feels very secure and safe. Suitable for both elderly and small children.

Athur's Seat gondola gives a spectacular view
Arthurs Seat Eagle is a gondola ride on the Mornington Peninsula. The gondolas start at sea level and top out at Arthur's Seat. Visitors get a great view out across the Bay, and the City of Melbourne. The Arthur's Seat Eagle is a "must see" if you're on the Peninsula.

    An amazing and affordable experience.
An amazing experience. Very clean, safe and the views are very good (especially on a clear blue sky day). When you get to the top, there is a nice little cafe (pretty basic but very nice views, very clean). You can also go to "Enchanted Adventure" which is 300 metres (5-10 minute walk down the road). It's really beautiful and a great place to take kids (a little expensive however). I highly recommend Arthurs Seat to any. 10/10.

    Nice Beach View
We went on a Friday and there were very few people around. No waiting for the cable car, but your ticket and hop straight on. We wanted one way and the adult fare was $23 and the concession fare was $19 the ride down took 15 minutes. Very smooth ride, the sun was out and there was no wind so it was an ideal day to do it

Brilliant views, friendly helpful staff and good fun. Pleasant summit walk also with great views. I recommend the open air gondola on a hot day for a nice sea breeze.

Beautiful landscapes and experiences, both on the cable car and during the hikes in the surroundings. Everything is clean and well-maintained, the staff is welcoming, and the café is very pleasant to relax in. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area.🥰

Such a peaceful experience.
I was lucky to have a carriage to myself late in the day. The view down is amazing on a clear day with ocean far on in the horizon.
Staff were all friendly and welcoming.

We had visited 7yrs ago so my youngest couldn't recall so today was a fantastic memory for her. She loved the gondola ride and the view, while my eldest enjoyed meeting and holding Australian wildlife (at the top of the ride), especially the non- venomous snake. Great family fun on a beautiful day ❤️

The ride on the skyrail was eye opening. A very good display carried out by staff of animals & involved those there to pat & have a hands on experience.

The staff are friendly. The facilities clean and comfortable. The ride itself is a really fun experience. Recommended. Waiting for over an hour to get on the ride, on the other hand, is not. At thirty dollars a person and knowing now how long I was going to wait, I wouldn’t have bothered. Save yourself some grief and give this place a pass during school holidays. Visit in mid-Winter. Surely it's not so crowded then.

Note the time we waited is not an exaggeration. I talked about it with the guy on the gate. He told more that the wait times are definitely less than two hours, but certainly more than an hour.

In addition, when you arrive at the end of the ride (the low one) you are supposedly able to take a stroll around "Arthur’s Seat Circuit Walk". The walk features prominently on the advertising material that's given to you when you buy your ticket. This walk cannot be found in Google Maps. The lady on the Information Desk was no help - she told me that it's just a dirt track leading off from one of the several overflow car parks. Not a sign to help? No, just a dirt track leading off into the bush. The locals didn’t know where it was either. Good luck on anyone finding it. We stumbled around for half an hour but there’s no sign of the walk anywhere.
