Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Accommodating, laid back and highly recommended for anyone planning a DIY wedding. Jodi was great to work with in the lead up to the wedding, clearly setting out what was and wasn’t included and addressing our queries/concerns in the lead up to the big day. The weekend wedding package was also extremely reasonably priced and provided more than enough onsite accommodation for ourselves and our guests.

The rooms were lovely -rustic log cabins with kitchenettes and bathrooms- and our guests loved the community feeling of being onsite for the weekend with the couple and other guests. Being onsite meant the ability to enjoy themselves without worrying about who would be designated driver, when to leave to avoid the traffic, or how long it left before the kids’ bedtime. It also ensured that everyone could easily enjoy the onsite recovery breakfast the next morning.

My partner and I booked out Ace Hi for the weekend to provide enough time to set up and get comfortable on the Friday, before our wedding on Saturday morning. The hall itself was spacious and we found it easy to decorate with fairy lights, calico banners and other small decorations. As the hall is made of wood, we found very few decorations were needed to make it a cosy and inviting space for the event. The large fireplace was also well used for our Winter wedding and kept well stocked by one of our guests throughout the day.

The recovery breakfast the next morning (bacon & egg rolls with coffee) was absolutely delicious, with Ace Hi accommodating special dietary requirements for some of our guests (vegan, vegetarian and coeliac). It was a great venue and I’d recommend checking it out for your special event.

A wonderful place to relax and unwind. The ambience is amazing!!! Had the most amazing weekend. Waking up to the beautiful sunrise with the trees rustling in the breeze is bliss at the Ranch. I could sit on the verandah and gaze for hours and never feel bored. The cabins are so cosy and comfortable. The Ranch is going to be my holiday home for a long time. Thanks to the Ranch team.

What a fantastic experience. The facilities are great and the staff could not be friendlier. Nothing was too much trouble and we loved it. The horse riding instructors and workers were so lovely and knowledgeable and truly loved what they do. The horses were so beautifully cared for. I would definitely return and have already told others to check it out.

I am absolutely APPALLED!!!
We went away for a birthday weekend away, expecting a relaxing weekend but let me tell you it was anything but that! First off never get the “deluxe” cabin, it is an extra $50 a night and the only “upgrade” is the bathroom which is made up of cheep, crappy material. The towel rack broke as soon as a towel was placed on it and the bathroom seat broke before the end of the night. There were no plates nor cutlery in our cabin and we had to go up and ask for the replacements and then carry them back ourselves. One of our family friends were in the original cabin and they had a better experience than any of us!!! And for god sakes don’t have a baby accidentally spew on a crappy 10 year old bed sheet because it’ll cost you around $250. (We left the sheets outside on the grass and cleaned to the best of our ability with the minimal cleaning supplies that were available in the cabin)
My family and I are absolutely appalled with the handling of the situation and our stay at Ace High.
We have been coming here for over 30 years and have never had a problem however the value for money at this place has dramatically gone downhill! The beginners ride whilst very expensive at $90 for 45 minutes it that was very boring and definitely not worth the money. If we could do our time over we would definitely take our money and use it elsewhere!

We had an amazing time at The Ranch over Easter. This is now our second year returning for Easter long weekend. We stayed in the weekender (sleeps 10, 2 x ensuites and small lounge area). Kids had an absolute ball - horse riding, rock climbing, leap of faith, tennis, basketball, swimming, Easter egg hunt Sunday morning. The hosts and general staff are very friendly, accommodating and fabulous with children. The horses are in amazing condition. Highly recommend!

The Ranch is an amazing place for a family vacation. Absolutely loved the animals onsite, the sprawling views, and the swimming pool. We stayed in a deluxe cabin which was very clean & had an excellent view from the bedroom window. The staff are extremely helpful & friendly, specifically Kathy, who checked us in. I can't say enough good things about this place! We will definitely be back.

I went on an “experienced” trail ride a few days ago and it was AMAZING! Great amount of trotting and cantering, beautiful property, and lovely staff. I rode Comet and she was a lovely mare, plus I noticed that all the horses on the trail acted like very well behaved school horses. The horses all appeared to be very healthy and well looked after. I will definitely be coming back for another trail ride one day.

Absolutely a 10 out of 10 for The Ranch. Stayed for three nights in a cabin with my two young grandchildren. They filled their days with horse riding and other holiday camp activities. Simply a great experience for the children. Thanks to all the amazing staff. Would definitely go back.

We visited for a family weekend away. There were 64 of us.
This can be tricky for a lot of venues but the team at the Ranch (Ace Hi) made it so easy.
We did 4 different horse rides to cater for ages and abilities.
We had mountain boarding, swimming and rock climbing.
Kids could ride their bikes freely and everyone had a relaxed and fun weekend.
We can not recommend them highly enough.

We booked in for the intermediate scenic ride and waited and waited and waited until 40minutes after the supposed start time they decide that they should hand us some horses. . Despite telling the lady my daughter has ridden for 6 of her 11 years on earth and that she has weekly lessons the horse she was given was a horse I would put a beginner on. I felt my stirrips were too long and asked the lady to put them up one or two holes she replied that they wont go up any more. ok then, great! i thought. Then the lady told us which order we were to go in. There was three of us riding and we were spread throughout the trail. As I pulled my horse out from the one in front so I could then ride with my daughter, the lady told me rudely the horses had to remain in single file at all times. They also had beginners on this ride, despite it supposed to be for intermediate riders, which held up those behind who wanted to trot and canter more but couldn't because of the stupid single file rule. If you can ride, don't go here.
