It is the tallest waterfalls of all along Oirase Gorge, a very touristy site
Aug. 2019
This waterfalls attracted quite a bit of visitors by car and bus with easy access from the roadside upon getting off. However, the walking path towards the waterfalls is narrow, slippery and uneven. There are also many large rocks and dead tree trunks lying around the walking path. To get close to the waterfall area one must take extreme caution on slippery uneven surface. Those who have reached in front of the falls would stand for a while to have pictures taken; while others stand far away would wait for them to leave in order to have pictures taken without strangers in them. It's a crowded space to visit. I managed to get close to the side of the falls and shot a few pictures from the angle without people in my photos. JR Bus traveling toward Lake Towada makes a stop in front of the waterfalls and can be seen from bus window. The height of falls is about 20 meter from the ground. The rushing water splashes down to the rocks, creates spume of white foams resembling white clouds, thus get the name of Kumoi-no-taki. It's about 25 minutes walk from Ashura-no-nagare Current, an iconic symbol of Oirase Gorge.

A must see
Jul. 2019
This water is very different from Choshi Otaki Waterfall. This is not so big but taller. You can get very close to it and there are not so many people. As the shuttle bus of my hotel stops there, I took a long time to take photos there.

Probably the highest waterfall along the trail. Can see the waterfall from the roadside, but if you want a closer look at it or to get a closer photo with a mobile phone, you need to climb up a bit to reach it.

Nice Waterfall along Oirase

Kumoi no Taki is a tall waterfall by the middle of Oirase Stream. There is a bus stop next to the waterfall and many tourists come here just to take a few snapshots and leave for other spots in Towada. Recommended.

Waterfall along Oirase Stream
Oct. 2017 • Friends
Kumoi no Taki Waterfall is one of the main waterfall along the Oirase Stream. It is of two tiers for water falling down and visitors can go very close to it for taking nice photos. The spot is a bit off the main road and will not disturb the traffic flow.

Beautiful waterfall surrounded by lush greenery
Oct. 2017 • Couples
Kumoi no Taki Waterfall may not be the largest waterfall but it is very picturesque and surrounded by lush vegetation. It is 25 meters tall and falls over two tiers.

It is a relaxing and beautiful walk as you follow the meandering stream. It is easy to follow the path and enjoy the beauty of the area. In some some areas the stream is a gentle, flowing stream and at other, a stronger, more river-like flow with cascades and eddys.

It is a very plesant walk and you can see several artists painting along the way.

waterfall

Have to look closely for this waterfall as the traffic is not allowed to stop and the roads are narrow. Best to park car then walk to the site.
