I was staying in Hotel Rosalie which is on the same road as this house. I enjoyed seeing the house and gardens as much as the exhibition. Reasonably priced entry

Rosalía Rita de Castro is the Laureate of all Galician poets and poetresses. She lived in misery, poverty, and illness but bequeathed a treasure of poetry. The downside, she wrote in Galego, which is similar but not to Portuguese. A very very few works have been translated into English and may be found here: "Selected Poems" Rosalía Rita de Castro published by Shearsman Books. If you are not familiar with her efforts there is not much sense in visiting here, it is a pilgrimage spot for Galicians and many of those on the last stage before Santiago de Compostela.
