I SO wanted the kids to see this, but this was disgusting. On the photos they took washing could be seen hung on the opposite side. The area was dirty and neglected. What a pity and shame on the municipality. What has happened to the...More

Howick falls is een nice waterfall. You can see the village people doing laundy up the waterfall. Beside this there's not much to do or see. I wouldn't take a long drive/detour to see it, but if you're close by it's nice to have a...More

The Howick Falls remains one of the impressive landmarks in the KZN Midlands. This time of year the river feeding the falls are not running all that strong, but definitely worth a visit. The area around the Falls view site seems to be quite run...More

My son and I visited the falls via the Umgeni Valley Nature Preserve. We went for a drive and then a beautiful hike in the reserve. Highly recommended for the Horwick Falls as well as the nature preserve.

The falls is not spectacular like Victoria or Niagara. It is a long drop and quite a pretty site. Lovely arts and crafts in the area.

Exciting to see an improvement at the falls. Signage much better, cleaner and friendly shop owners. Wonderful to see the water cascading over the falls. Thanks to the Love Howick Team, who are working together to improve this experience! !

No longer a beautiful nature spot. Locals use waterfall for washing dirty laundry at top of the falls. Can no longer get beautiful nature pics. Overrun by hawkers and car guards, actually scaring tourists off!

As a national tourist destination I was appalled by how dirty and neglected the viewing area is. The whole area needs to be cleaned up, including the falls.

It was nice to see that the ladies washing their clothes at the top have vanished as it was a bit of an eye sore. Also glad to see that in general this section was clean. The Tourism Office was open for a change -...More
