The castle is well preserved and thus creates the atmosphere of the life in such a place: rooms, kitchen, workshops are all in place. In the workshops there are pleople working showing how things were made, which is particularly interesting for children.

have visited it twice already but it is not worth entering the castle itself for this extremely high fee. You do get nothing for it, except for seeing the castle's interior and can climb up to a higher place. But no interesting exhibition or historical-stories...More

Gyula is a small town but as small so charming it is. Castle is not just interesting because it's the only remained intact brick castle of Central-Europe but there are plenty of programs in the whole year: the most famous are Végvári Esték and Pálinkafesztivál....More

A nice little medieval fortress in perfect condtion. They offer exhibitions which help you imagine how people lived in the small castles like this.
