Scharding was a happy surprise with its colorful buildings, which look like they are straight from a storybook. The row of pretty buildings with identical curved gables are very pleasing to the eye. The plaza has shops and restaurants with outdoor dining. The flower towers...More

Brightly coloured buildings are in a abundance in the centre of this small town. Loved the curved gable tops and different shaped buildings. Cafes were busy when we visited with both locals and tourists. The local park (Schlosspark) is close to the centre and worth...More

The village obviously takes pride in its inner city. The houses in both the upper and lower city are in good repair and sport bright and probably coordinated colors. The city center is worth a small detour and free parking was surprisingly easy to find.

You are stunned by the colours and during the pre christmas time you can see beautiful lightings on the houses.

The beautiful town of Scharding has many colourful buildings, and although it is small... it is defiantly worth a visit if you are close. A small romantic area, where you can relax by the river and go the museum of the area.

The Oberer Stadtplatz (upper city square) of Scharding is a nice collection of colorful baroque buildings well preserved. The lower square worth a walk as well, untill the river. There you will meet the real past of the city.

The town square in Sharding converts to a delightful Christmas market and farmer's market in December. Wear layers of warm clothes.
