About
Lotem Organic - a unique winery which integrates human qualities with those of the land. The winery is located in a beautiful spot in Kibbutz Lotem looking at Sahnin valley with it's ancient olive trees. From the balcony you can see all the way from the sea of Galilee and the Golan Heights to the Lower Galilee. In the winery we integrate high quality of wine making- Organic grapes from our vineyard in Kibbutz Zivon on the slopes of mount Meiron (alttidue of 750 m) and special energetic processes like playing special music to the wine continuously throughout all the fermentation and aging process.

The winery has a restaurant where you can order whine tasting. They have a terrace with a nice view. We took antipasti sandwich with ciabatta and cheese. The food was very nice. The wine is not bad. Not something outstanding but Sauvingion Blank is nice. I will recommend visiting it for lunch or dinner. In case you buy several bottles of wine - they reduce wine tasting from your dinner bill.

First of all, The Service was absolutely AWFUL and the products tasted were not worth the bother, On top of this their prices were unreasonable to say the least.
But, then again, this IS Israel and neither professionalism nor minimally acceptable manners have ever been in great supply there.
In my view, this trip was a total waste of time and money!

We were visiting the adjacent Shirat Roim cheese factory and wanted to try some of Lotem's wine and buy a few bottles to take to our hotel for dinner. When we walked in nobody acknowledged out presence as the wait staff were all running around dealing with the diners out on the porch. So we asked for some help and they said someone would be with us in a minute. This happened several times as we finally decided to forego even a small taste of their wine before buying. So we picked out a few wine selections from their offerings and asked to purchase some. So the woman said someone will be right right with you again. Nice to see they have so much business that they don't need us purchasing their wine. I also would've like to have a small taste since I was new to their wine and I especially like Nebbiolo which I saw they produced.
So we remembered that Shirat Roim also sold their wine so we said forget about Lotem and returned to Shirat Roim and bought one bottle from them and planned to buy more bottles later elsewhere.
Unfortunately I needed to write this as it really pissed me off. We are frequent visitors to wineries here in Israel, offer wine tourism in our business, and make our own wines with a group, so I was know what kind of good service a winery should provide and it didn't happen at Lotem.
Much success to them and hope they learn to be a bit more welcoming to customers.

We are always touring people through Israel's amazing Bible sites and, in between, stopping in at the local wineries and pubs to escape the heat.
And Lotem is the perfect ending to a Saturday night in the Galilee. From their balcony they have a stunning view of the valley and, if youre there in time, the sunset.
Knowledgeable and friendly staff will take you through their wines while you enjoy mouth watering cheese and meat.
A nice blend of music in the backround makes it the perfect spot for a couple wanting a quiet, relaxing break from the busy Israeli life.

Took my girlfriend for a romantic birthday treat at the vineyard on a Saturday afternoon. The view is incredible and the place is elegant and pleasant. We took the 50 NIS wine flight (6 wines) which was interesting and wonderful, and had a cheese plate and a .grilled steak The food was very good It could have been a perfect experience if the service was just a bit better. The 3 workers that served the average number of 20 visitors somewhat struggled to get everything under control- as other reviewed mentioned before. We had to wait for almost 30 minutes for our cheese and the overall serving experience was very nice yet slow. Here are a few points to keep in mind for future improvement:
*Don't let us chase you a long time after we finished our glass of wine
*When you charge 75 NIS for a cheese plate, it could have been nice to say a few words about the different types of cheese in it
*Don't let us remind you 4 times that we booked a tour in the winery and we would like to actually do it
That in mind, we will definitely come back, hopefully this time to give it 5 stars!

The place is buityfull with nice view on the sea of Galili, though, it is hard to find. You are stepping in a winery in a Hangar, that has a good vibe. They have few dishes, Meat ones for carnivore, that are cheap and tasty, the wine is very good free of pesticides,
In all - it is good place to hang out during Spring or Autumn afternoons

Initially recommended by locals, it was very hard to cover all the wineries in the region, so, based on the reviews, we decided to land on Lotem. What a wonderful and pleasant place! Excellent food, breathtaking views, great wine (actually purchased a few cases and shipped home to US), wonderful owners/hosts. Definitely a destination for a lovely afternoon.

This quaint winery in the Galilee currently puts out about 30,000 bottles annually, so it's small enterprise so far. However, very soon it is slated to expand according to the owner and winemaker. The setting at Lotem is spectacular, overlooking the northern hills and valleys of the "Galil" and the Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) to the southeast. Our group enjoyed learning the facts about the making of a half-dozen of the winery's brands, plus a tour of the winery. We learned that beautiful music is piped into the barrel room which permeates the room as the wine ferments. The harmonic resonance of the music supposedly has an effect on the chemical bonds during the fermentation process, according to the winemaker. We also enjoyed a lovely meat, Israeli salad, cheese, pita, and sweet potato lunch for an incredibly reasonable price. The wine can be purchased for 75 shekels a bottle (approx. $20). Moreover, a delightful dairy and cheese cafe is adjacent to the winery for the purchase of more wonderful foods and other items. This little known place is a must see if one is in the area anywhere near the north of Israel.
