We spent an afternoon snorkeling and found the shade under the trees just great. Good sandy beach with sandy gaps between most rocks. Reasonably depth particularly when the tide is in. We took a Koko glass bottom cruise which ended up anchoring for snorkeling right...More

This is a beautiful sandy beach and nice open area on a large lagoon. If the weather has been still and hot in prior days, it can get a little "soupy" but otherwise a wonderful beach. You can walk for a good distance left or...More

This is the best beach on the island! Although you may wish to avoid it just after heavy rain, as the water will tend to be murkier and also smelly.

Beautiful place to swim and snorkel! I saw giant Trevally, eels, and plentiful fish on my daily snorkels. Plenty of coral bommies to explore on your way out to the reef line. Good at both tides!

We stayed at the Rarotonga Beach Bungalows and our place opened onto the beach. We spent a lot of time walking both directions along the beach, snorkeling most afternoons, and walking over to Charleys for lunch and dinners, much nicer than walking along the road....More

We got off bus here and walked to Muri. Long walk but worth it. Great shallow beach with palm tree fringing it.

Having past this beach in Raro's famous bus service a few times, and noted that the water seemed extra blue and the sand extra white, we finally stopped in on our final day. Unfortunately we didn't get to swim - wet swimsuits in the luggage...More

Great sandy beach, with shades of blue, famous snorkelling area. Best part is probably in front of the Polynesian Resort with a wide stretch of sand with shallow water.
