Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This beach is accessed via an ~2km poorly maintained dirt road that is behind the rum distillery, where you see the not so pretty side of the town of Rosseau. I was glad we had an all-wheel-drive and would not like to attempt it after heavy rain.
The beach itself was broad and mostly deserted except for a few locals handing around a motley collection of shacks. There was also cattle and goats around, so I guess they were farming. There was no beach activity except for us.
We attempted to snorkel the south (left) side of the beach since the surf was up a little and it looked more sheltered. But the swell was unpleasant, the visibility less than 1m, and the sand quite coarse and unpleasant.
There's also a lot of garbage around. In short, we gave up after 20 minutes and left. I think there's a reason this beach isn't on the mainstream tourist maps.

We took a kayak from our resort at Oasis Marigot Bay. We first went to shell beach which was nice, and then we came here. It was exactly what we needed. Piece and quite! We were the only 3 ppl on the entire beach. The water was so nice and the sand was super soft. We haf a great time

No. We went to Roseau because it looked like a potentially good snorkeling spot, but we tried a few points along the long beach but the visibility was always poor and we saw nothing. I think it's too open to the sea to be sparkling clear.
The best snorkeling we had in St Lucia was about a half hour drive south at Anse Cochon beach. Beware though that the Ti Kaye resort will charge you for access by car, but you can reclaim the access fee in their beach restaurant that was okay value.
