We headed to Girija Temple to seek blessings of Mata Girija while we were on our way back. The temple had 72 grand stairs and was totally worth the climb.

The temple can be visited either directly by car or a walk through the suspension bridge. I would recommend the latter. Park your car and walk to the bridge. Get down to the river banks. Sit. Absorb. Then cross the suspension bridge , walk through the forest breathing in the crisp clean air and reach the temple. Soak yourself in... More

Nested in serene valley, located on age old rock in the middle of Kosi river, this temple is very popular among locals. There is very big gathering of devotees on Kartik Purnima, the birth day of guru Nanak Dev of Sikhs. There very narrow and steep stairs to reach the temple, but worth visiting.

The temple location is amazing, getting down from a bridge crossing the river and climbing up steep steps from the river bed. Being a steep staircase, not sure if elderly or people with knee problems should do this - although being a religious place, cannot comment :) The surroundings are beautiful and we went in the summer so the river... The temple is located in the middle of the river Kosi on a huge rock. The location is good and if you have time you can sit and relax a bit nearby. The stairs however which lead to the temple are quite steep.

must visit although climb is too steep, but amazing and adventurous. go and visit. The place is named after the "Garjiya Devi Temple" situated over a huge rock in the midst of river Kosi. Situated along the Valley of Ramganga River and fringed by the Himalayan foothills ... wonderfull location
