literally the best bookshop in the country, a must-stop if you visit the Adelaide Hills. The owners and staff know their stuff and the curated collection of books is one of the reasons I feel it wins awards. I also buy my Moleskine diaries there so they have useful stuff like that on hand.

This is a great bookshop in the Main st of Stirling. Always open, they have a reliably excellent range, from children’s, to a wide range of fiction and non fiction books. Cannot recommend enough.

If you’re up in Stirling don’t miss a trip to Matildas. Fantastic range, fabulous staff and gorgeous shop with something for everyone. They do gift cards as well for that hard to buy for person!

I love to visit Matilda Bookshop in Stirling. The store is inviting, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the titles on display are well-chosen. Matilda offers a selection of fiction and non-fiction, and one section of the store is dedicated to books for children. No matter if just browsing, or looking for specific advice, I've always felt welcome. I especially like to look through the books on local/South Australian topics, and the ones by local authors. The staff has been happy to order books in for me, and they mail them postage-free within South Australia. Matilda also regularly hosts Meet the author events. Great there's still a bookshop like this!

This bookstore is an institution in the Adelaide Hills. It’s lovely to browse around and buy with a huge collection of adult and children’s books. A must visit store!

This is such a fabulous bookshop. I love it. They have an amazing range of books. Some quite ordinary and then all those hard to get, interesting books. The staff are knowledgable and go out of their way to help.

A favourite for kids during the school holidays after they have exhausted Ipads, friends, pools and all the activities you can throw at them is to drop into Matildas bookshop where they can choose from the great range of quality books on the shelves that will occupy, educate and stimulate their minds for hours. Fantastic, helpful old fashioned service a plenty.

In Stirling locals are blessed with Matilda's, a bookshop that meets and stimulates the literary interests of readers of all ages. The staff are helpful, informed and obliging and the ordering service is terrific. Not only is it a beautiful place to browse and select gifts, cards and books but its owners provide on-going opportunities to meet writers and promote reading in the community. Highly regarded in the trade this bookshop attracts state-wide attention. Family friendly and well worth regular visits.
