Me and a mate did a half day wine tour. Our tour guide was Dave and he was absolutely amazing. Gave us the best time and he was full of knowledge and information of Adelaide and the wineries that we visited. Would highly recommend just...More

Most of the places we did wine tasting felt a bit rushed, but at Shaw and Smith we had 5 generous glasses of wine to taste (probably the equivalent of 2 normal sized glasses) and a selection of cheese and biscuits to go with them....More

It is a smaller wine region but that doesn't hamper the choice of wines...beautiful. Around the corner is Willunga that has a few choice restaurants and cafes...its all there!!

Genevieve provided the loveliest cellar door experience. Knowledgeable and warm, without the pretence of wine elitism. Delicious wine and cosy place to enjoy it.

Found the Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale nicer than the Barossa for visiting smaller cellar doors. Just be aware that some wineries only open and offer tasting certain days (many Thurs - Sun only) and we found the tourism guides to cellar doors unreliable about...More

Within 45 minutes of Adelaide's CBD, there are so many small and friendly cellar-doors, many with tasting plates as well as wine, that you can spend a day or a weekend exploring, and have a lot of fun. I particularly like K1 Wines, in the...More

Well worth the drive down here for the food, wine and views. Barossa Valley is more popular but McLaren Vale has more to offer and more affordable places to eat. Cellar doors are friendly and helpful.
