Small botanical garden very close to Ahu Akivi. All privately funded and constructed. Focused on tropical plants--many that bloom constantly. This is a nice spot to spend 1.5-2+ hours if you enjoy lush gardens. The garden also offers transportation to and from for a small...More

A beautiful little botanical garden not far from town. They even offer transport for a small fee. It's basically the work of one very dedicated man, Juan Carlos Poblete. Plants from around the world and small sculptures. A nice break from the breathtaking sites of...More

The garden provided transportation to/from our cabins. It is a private garden built by one man and his family without any outside financial support. It took them five yrs to build, all of the plants are non-native to Rapa Nui; along with two cotton plants...More

We went out by transfer bus and were the only two visitors they had in one hour. No sign of anyone working and the whole place was sadly neglected with lots of weeds. Some lovely shrubs and pictures showed it when first created and it...More

A unique place in Rapa Nui, this garden is clearly a labour of love for the owner. Walk through twisty paths through a huge variety of plants and shrubs, most of them native but some grown from seeds brought in specially from such places as...More

This beautiful garden was created five years ago only by one family. The plants and flowers have come from various places all over the world. It is well worth a visit, especially on a hot summer's day.
