I only could find to sand beaches in the island, this is one of them. Is not hide but is not a common place. In the short pad from the parking lot to the beach there is a ancient burial land, please be respectful

Playa Ovahe is easy to get to once you are on Rapa Nui. It is located very close to Anakena Beach and everyone goes there. After you park your car, just follow the trail to the left. Before you get to the beach itself, take time to look at the ancient funeral site! This is where they would they would burn the dobles of diseased loved ones. Sacred ground! Keep following the path to the left and arrive onto the beach. The colors of the rocks here are just beautiful. Take a swim in the crystal clear water. Enjoy this beautiful spot!…

Ovahe was recommended for snorkeling by my tour guide. It was decent, however, (even according to my guide) it was no comparison to French Polynesia. FYI, nearest toilet is Anakena Beach (2km), no lifeguard, water is colder than Hawaii and Tahiti, and there is a danger of rocks falling. Still I'd do it again. Take your own water/food…
