Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was well worth the time & cost, what a magnificent overlook of a striking hilltop fortress and town below. My driver-guide Damir even drove up to the fortress. Unfortunately, it was closed at the time, but it was still worth the trip to drive through the town.

We parked out of town and walked up to the town, but the viewing point is a bit further to walk as it is situated of course slightly outside town on the other side. We went out of season so actually we could have easily parked in town and had a shorter walk. If you are approaching Montefrio from the south however, you will come to the viewpoint before reaching the town and should be able to find parking before entering the town center.
The view is absolutely stunning and lives up to it's ranking.

Montefrio is a lovely little village in an amazing spot. The view from the lookout point is picture perfect.

Parked just by the viewpoint on the way from Granada to Cordoba. Saw from 3 sides, and this was the best…

This is one of the three most beautiful viewpoints in Montefrio, and this is also the one from which National Geographic magazine took the photo that was on its cover.
In addition to the spectacular views, they have placed a panel from which you can take the cover photo and get inside said image. It is very curious and very beautiful.

A place for a general view of the village and take some nice pictures. Complement the walk through the village and see the surroundings.

The view from the viewpoint is beautiful, but very overrated. Lots of National Geographic, but there is no place to park nearby, you have to leave the car in a parking lot very far away or in the town, and go up a hill which is difficult on a summer day. Despite that, the most beautiful thing about the town, without a doubt, because the rest of the visit was rather disappointing. The people are rude and you can tell they are tired of tourists. Everything there was to visit was closed, or little information about when it opened. Little offer of bars/restaurants, so it is not a place for gastronomy.
