On our way to Durbuy, we stopped over at this chocolate shop, which is actually so much more than just a shop. For just under €5 you are taking into a room, where in about 20 to... read more

The tour isn't really that long, but done in two languages so double the time. My kids were just bored until we got to the part where they showed how to make the chocolates. You get to taste some at the end, yum. There are plenty of chocolates to buy, on the expensive side, but still delicious. The area is... More

The visit to the shop (without entering the musesm) gave us a glimpse to the process of creation hand made chocolate. We were welcomed with a plate of chocolates, the one with a cream brulle filling was excelent... after buying some chocolates we enjoyed coffee and chocolate mouse cake outside, with a perfect view, while the kids explored the bees... Defroidmont chocolaterie was highly recommended by a tourist office in the area, so I expected a lot. The chocolaterie itself is cosy and smells divine! The museum tour, though was not worth the 5 euros per person. Although professionally done, it is basically an advertisement for the company - using video footage. It includes only 2x chocolates - one of... More

This was a neat facility. We did not take advantage of the museum but instead watched them make candy. We also purchased a lot of this delicious Belgian Chocolate.

A really good tour. Mostly through audio tape, but lovely chocolate and an enlightening tour. The cafe is a must and the shop. May not do the tour next time as it was a little impersonal.

I went on study abroad to Belgium and the of the many places my group went, Chocolaterie Defriodmont was definitely one of our favorites. The shop is lovely and the people are so gracious. The lady there spoke very good English and helped me when I asked her how I should transport my chocolate back to the US. I still... More
