Boracay circa early 2000s on a smaller scale

Eerily similar to what Boracay was in the early 2000s from the look to the feel, it was as if I traveled back in time. Sand quality is nowhere near though, but the locals' friendliness and chill vibe are arguably the same. Great sunsets and happy hour make this a must see!

Great location, good seafood! Have shops...I love their Bohol Ice-Cream in a Organic store. Also the Chips and coconut product. Beautiful beach!

We are staying nearby to Alona Beach and have ventured down to the beach a few times while here. The beach is white sand, but there's not a lot of wide stretches to really relax along the crowded beach. The area is fairly commercialised, with plenty of bars to stop for a drink and some average restaurants lining the beach,... More

We found glass many places in the sand. Local authority needs to employ daily beach cleaners. Guess so many folk looking for a steady paid job and guess local authority is raki g in the taxes here one eould think it is very affordable to do this.

The beach was once nice place to visit I suppose. Today it is like a mini port - all the island tours start from here and you can see the boats docked everywhere. The crowds of tourists flock here due to the number of hotels on first line, as well as the restaurants open from each of them. There are... More

Has become more developed over the past few years. Bigger resorts, a little bit dirty with sea algae and litter. Can see how it probably used to be an amazing place but with more tourist equals more business and more commercial outlets. Not a bad little place but if you work a bit harder and travel a little further you'll... More

We were staying at South Palm and we decided to come here for lunch. After 30 min we turned around and went some where else. Beach area is crowded, noisy, loud music and lots of vendors . Beach is lined with bars, restaurants, and massage tables. Plenty of boats docked by the beach and obstructs your view of the water.... More

Lovely beach where you can swim and have a drink etc. Completely ruined by the amount of rubbish on the beach. Plastic cups, bottle and fag butts everywhere you look. Craziness! Only one bin on the whole beach. Truly disgusting, don't bring your kids here unless you want them to pick up cigarette butts. Too all the bars and restaurants... More

I really liked the beach, just a bit too crowded for my taste but that's what happens if your there in Holy Week ...... like the bars and restaurant on the beach strip as well as the dive shops so you have a mingle of people wandering around. No touts hassle!
