    Worth the drive
Not an easy place to get to by car, but well worth the trip when you get there! My wife and I went by car with our friend from Coimbra. Tried the rose and it was great. No time for an organized tour that day so we can’t evaluate that experience.

A must-do in the Douro Valley
This is a delightfully rustic location, with ultra-modern tasting facilities. Hugo provided us with a tutored tasting of a selection of estate-produced red and white wine, and white, tawny and vintage port. We also tasted olive oil produced in-house. The insights received into the wine itself, and its cultural significance and positioning was highly instructive. Even the winery's dog, Typhoon, was from central casting, and fit the bucolic character of the place perfectly.

Exquisite! This family owned and run for many years winery has a gorgeous view and the wines were excellent. Beatriz gave us a wonderful tasting-- she has a lovely way about her and is extraordinarily knowledgeable about the wines and the history of the winery. We loved the wines so much we had several bottles shipped all the way back to California in the United States.

First stop on our wine tour and a worthy introduction to the region. This family owned estate produces some amazing table and port wines. The head of the family took us and our party of 7 through a tour of the warehouse and a tasting of 5 wines: 2 table wines and 3 ports. All were very good, but our favourite was the LBV port, which we bought. I think this place would be hard to find on our own, but is worth the effort.

The visit was very expensive, 20 euros per person to spend 10 minutes in the barrel room and then to the tasting, quickly and without too many explanations. The wines were not bad but all 4 were served in two glasses, the explanations were very scarce and without going into basic details of the D.O. or types of grapes. The person who served us was very friendly but they didn't show us anything other than the barrels and the store.

Excellent wine tasting experience. We sampled five varieties as well as an olive oil tasting. Our group of six were in a very classy tasting room, thoroughly enjoyed the tour of the wine cave. A lovely family farm.

A quick tour of the barrel room and on to the tasting.... while I would have loved to see more of the grounds the wonderful host and excellent wines made up for it.

The wines were complex and the ports delicious with the 10 year white being and exceptional surprise!!!

We had an amazing wine tasting at Quinta Seara d’Ordens. They showed us the property and explained how their wine is produced. In the end we tried different lovely wines and some olive oil. Our guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. I can only recommend it.

Really great intro into the production of wine and port in an amazing setting. Worth going for the views of the valley alone. The wines were great and our delivery arrived last week as a lovely reminder of the trip.

My family and I traveled to Quinta Seara d'Ordens as part of a tour of the Douro Valley. The experience was incredible. We tasted the ruby and tawny ports, olive oil and their orange jam--all were incredible. We purchased several bottles of the port, one bottle of olive oil and 3 of the orange jam. So that is a testament to the quality of their product. The staff were very hospitable, knowledgeable and provided not only insights into their products but the history of the area. This was a highlight of our tour of Portugal. You all should visit and enjoy the port and the breathtaking scenery.
