Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Reilly gave us a wonderful tasting. As Californians, we wept not to be able to ship any home (hoping the next vineyard will). The Chardonnay and Tempernillo were SO good! 10/10!! Highly recommend!

Nice venue with knowledgeable and attentive staff. Wine tasting was well run, wines explained well. It's a working winery so the wine caskets are right there too. Wines were nice. Great setting

Warm welcome and nothing too much trouble for the three ladies serving today. Very knowledgeable but not overbearing description of the wines and great value tastings. Lively scenic outlook from cellar door.

Ambience Plus - being escorted from main reception through to the nether regions of Allandale's cast and vat storage facility was almost like a free wine making tour. Our host Lee was very warm, charming and engaging in presenting and explaining the range of wines on offer. Lee took the time to enquire with each of us the types of wine we preferred and made a few suggestions on others that we were less familiar with. A wonderful experience sitting amongst the various stacked wooden kegs just took this experience to another level and we all commented on how much we enjoyed the experience.
Luckily the product and our palette were in some kind of sync and we left happily with a bottle or four under our arms to enjoy at a later time.
Highly recommended.

Right from the start the lady was helpful letting us park closer so I didn’t have to negotiate the steps. She was friendly and knowledgeable about their wines and engaged in conversation. Wines nice and reasonable prices. Great views

Stopped on the way past after the winery we were planning to visit was closed and heading home. Turned out to be a great turn of events. The lady serving us was friendly and knowledgeable, the spot beautiful with the setting sun and the wines fantastic. Highly recommend.

Our group were driving in the area late on a Friday afternoon and stopped in for an impromptu wine tasting. We were the only ones there on such a lovely fine day, so we sat outside for a tasting. The wine server was so friendly and chatty, and they had 2 dogs on site who were so placid and friendly as well.
The range of wines was quite varied, of the wines we tasted I'd say of our group of 4 we enjoyed at least 2 or 3 different varieties for each of us, and we ended up leaving with 1 to 2 bottles each. I'd definitely recommend a visit to get away from the more busy sites of Pokolbin, and cheese tasting at Binnorie dairy is just down the road.

We recently visited Allandale Winery as part of our full day wine tour.

I believe it was Bill who guided our tasting and he was really lovely and knowledgeable about the wines. He didn't just give us a list and ask what we wanted to try, rather he asked us questions about what we usually drink and our preferences in flavour (i.e. sweet, dry, etc.). He then matched our preference to the wines that Allandale Winery offers.

The wines were delicious, the cute dogs were friendly and Bill provided a great experience for us. Would definitely recommend anyone to visit Allandale Winery.

The tasting was $5 per person but was waived if a bottle of wine was purchased. The wines were delicious and affordable.

We visited Allandale as our first stop on a private tour for our anniversary. Alex hosted us, and was friendly, informative and provided exceptional hospitality. Not knowing much about wine ourselves, we appreciated his wisdom and eagerness to immerse us in the activity. The venue itself is beautiful and has an industrial-chic vibe to it that really pulls you into the atmosphere of making wine while also learning about it. At the end of our night we lamented not spending more time there, we will definitely be back.

Some lovely wines and for me a surprise package was the sparkling gewurztraminer (a first I must say).
Our tasting was conducted in a friendly manner with all questions being answered politely and with patience.
