Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited Lucy’s door as 2 couples and a dog after hearing they were dog friendly. They were SO dog (and people) friendly, with an incredible passion for what they do. The husband and wife team were smiley, hilarious and so welcoming. The wines a lovely and you have to try all of the elements of the ‘spice pack’ - the balsamic in particular is to die for.

Well thank you - what a great review! We love visits from puppers and their peeps - it really brightens our day - and even if you don’t have a doggo, we still love to welcome all. Yep, we gotta agree that our wines are pretty good(!), and our oil/spices are yummo too. Come see us again soon, and thank you once more. Brad & Heather

I went to Lucy's Run with two of my girlfriends, and one of their little babies over the Easter long weekend and it was by far our favourite winery of the day! The staff there were so so friendly and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Not to mention the wine is awesome and I love the way they support rescue dogs. Will definitely be back!

Brad and Heather are passionate about their wine, food and animals and it shows. We spent a very pleasant time in this small winery and enjoyed our visit tremendously. We ended up leaving with several wines, some balsamic and spices only the balsamic and spices made it back to Ireland. The wine was too nice and begged to be drunk.

Hi Michael - thank you for your lovely words, though it's not too hard for us to be passionate about our wines! We are SO happy that you liked your visit with us - it means a lot to hear good feedback ... it keeps us (well Brad!) on our toes! Next time you're back in Oz we'd love to see you in Hunter wine country. Many thanks again - Brad & Heather

We have to agree with the other reviews in that we also LOVED our visit to Lucy’s Run. We were greeted at the door by the owners and offered a private tasting in the cellar due to the bar area out front being busy. Heather and Brad were so friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Their wines are all beautiful and easy to drink- we took a case with us! An added perk is that the proceeds from some of their range go towards supporting Pet Rescue and their cellar shed is dog friendly! They also have their own olive oil, vinegar and dukkah which we cannot wait to try when we get home! We are really glad we came across this little gem and highly recommend a visit during your stay in the hunter!

So unassuming is Heather and Brads winery. What a nice surprise to taste their delightful wines - made by some of the hunters best winemakers. Such a special place and great people. Highly recommend!

How lovely - thank you for your review and your recommendation! We do like to surprise guests with our wines - we understand what you mean by unassuming, however I reckon we might make up for it with our wines! And we are SO fortunate to have Nick Paterson, Mike De Iuliis and David Hook making our wine - we feel special, and we love to share that with our guests. Thank you again! Brad & Heather

Lucy’s Run is unassuming from the road but wow, what brilliant wines. Heather and Brad are passionate about producing not just great wines but fabulous oils balsamic vinegar and dukkah. A small boutique winery that we will definitely be returning to.

Hello and a big thank you - we love that you love us! Pretty good the dukkah, eh? - considering I'm no chef, but I do love making it, and it's terrific on/in so many things. And thank you for the 'brilliant' comment about our wine - we lovingly grow the grapes and, along with our wonderful winemakers, we really want the best flavours to shine through. Do come visit us again soon if you can - would be lovely to see you. Brad & Heather
