Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visited Lucy’s Run on recommendation from owner of nearby accommodation. Simple, unpretentious cellar door. Owners were very friendly, accommodating & treated us like old friends. Wine very drinkable with generous tasting sizes. A must visit when in the Hunter Valley!

Highly recommend this winery. Amazing wines. So smooth and owner Heather so welcoming. Also have Amazing made on premises dukkah and zaatar and caramelised balsamic. Bit further down wine country drive towards Branxton but worth it.

We have been to the Hunter many times and generally go to the bigger, more popular wineries. Our wine tour recommended Lucy's Run amd she was spot on. Being animal lovers we were pleasantly surprised that they have a range of wine that they donate fund from to Pet Rescue. Their gourmet range of dukkah, zattar, balsamic glase and olive oils is outstanding. Brad and Heather are great hosts, I wish we had more time to spend at this winery. Definitely recommend this as a stop when in the Hunter.

Well how good, is that? - thank you for such a lovely review and for the generous recommendation!
We ARE small, hard to find, and aren't as recognisable as the bigger cellar doors, but our winemakers do a bloody good job for us, and we do love our wines, so it's not hard for us to be enthusiastic - especially if I've had a few rosés!
We hope you'll come back to see us next time you're in Hunter wine country.
Cheers - Heather & Brad

1st stop of a tasting tour. Was met with smiles and great hospitality.
Smashing wines and nice in the cool room.
Couldn't find a better dakkah in the valley either. Fantastic!

Thanks Kurk! We love our vineyard, our wines and our visitors - of course we're always smiling! Lovely to have you visit us, and we reckon our dukkah's bloody good too!
Cheers - Brad & Heather

Came to Lucy's Run for a tasting while touring through the Hunter Valley and it already started great when we were welcomed by a bunch of kangaroos jumping around on their lawn. It was busy with a group when we entered the cellar door, but owner Brad immediately greeted us and asked us to wait a bit. Later he told us all about the small winery and let us taste some of their great wines. The friendly and personal approach of Brad and Heather, together with their excellent wines, makes a visit to Lucy's Run a must-do while touring through the Hunter Valley.

Well thank you so much! We really do enjoy what we do, and we love meeting everyone and talking about our property and our wines. We hope you get a chance to come back to visit us again soon - we'll make sure we have more kangaroos for you! Heather

I really enjoyed visiting their winery, tasting their wines, cheese and oil. These guys showed and transmit a great passion for what they do. I bought multiple products. It was also funny to see a lot of lazy kangaroos in the fields around the grapes.

Went here on a wine tour. Under new owners who were great. Small selection of wines but what was for sale was delicious. We really enjoyed the olive oil which was very smooth and buttery. The dukkah and zattar were amazing also. Will be back.

The place had been recommended so we stopped in and it was a wonderful find. The couple who run it were very friendly, not pushy and confident in their wines.
Very knowledgeable and really let you enjoy the moment and there surrounds. I love the fact that the wines are named after their rescue animals and they support pet rescue.
We had a case sent home- lovely crisp Verdelho, delicate balance.
Well worth a stop

Thank you for taking the time to tell everyone about your (positive) experience with us - that's just so great to hear!
Brad and I do love our wines, so we do like talking about them, and we really don't feel the need to be pushy - it's just not in us to be like that, anyway. All we can hope for is that everyone who visits us really does enjoy our wines, and will take something away with them.
And yes, we do like to have a bit of fun when naming our wines, why not! ... just wait until our 2020 wines roll out!
Again, thank you for your feedback, and please come and see us again when you're back in Hunter wine country.
Heather & Brad
