Beyond Ballooning is family owned and operated offering an authentic experience teaming regional knowledge with genuine locals. Located in the NSW Hunter Valley approximately 160km's north of Sydney, Beyond Ballooning offers premium sunrise hot air balloon flights over the Hunter Valley wine-growing regions of Pokolbin and Broke. Absolutely fabulous!
I would totally recommend this to anyone wanting a super early start to the day, drifting over the tree tops and watching the sunrise.

Choosing Beyond Ballooning was hands down one of my best decisions this year. Unbelievably views, smooth travel, very skilled staff. Going during the weekdays was the best because there was no rush, we had plenty of space in the balloon and it felt a bit more private.

Our good looking pilot Danny toured us around the Hunter Valley. The flight was smooth and amazing 🥰 thanks to a good weather, it gave us a glorious view of the sunrise. I will definitely recommend these guys to my families and friends when they come over to the Hunter Valley (will even put it up in our YouTube channel). I think it should be a prerequisite to have this hot air ballooning experience as part of being in the Hunter Valley ❤️❤️ thank you guys for giving my family and I a very memorable experience - a late 50th gift for myself now that I'm 51 but it's still something that we will never forget.... Amazing ❤️❤️❤️ HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Highly recommend .
Beyond Ballooning was a great experience the service was amazing from Les the bus driver to get us to our take off site and Nathan the pilot did a wonderful job floating us around to see the beautiful scenery.
And after the flight back to Rydges for a delicious buffet breakfast and the Beyond Ballooning pilots stayed and answered questions if any .
Great business and Great customer service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wonderful experience.
Staff were amazing. Very professional. You felt safe the whole time.
Accommodation at the Rydges was great as they meet you for the balloon ride in the foyer and transport you by bus to the site where the balloon will leave.
After the ride you come back to Rydges for a fabulous champagne breakfast.

Passengers must have no major knee, back or neck problems which will limit their ability to participate.
Passengers cannot fly if they have had recent surgery or are recovering from injury.

Passengers must not be over 12 weeks pregnant at time of flight.

Hi, Beyond Ballooning is located in the Hunter Valley away from the coast so is not subject to the coastal winds Newcastle experiences. We do experience westerly winds at times through our summer. In saying that Beyond Ballooning operate year round, and would not operate in unsafe conditions; their safety record is impeccable. If you contact them directly through their website, they will be more likely to answer your question in a bit more detail.

In the NSW Hunter Valley we fly all year round. The period from October to April is considered the optimal time in regards to suitable weather. The views are sensational regardless of the time of year and we offer absolutely no guarantee in regards to weather. Winter is cold and summer hot so it comes down to personal preference.

We don’t not recommend children under the age of 7 fly. They are unable to see over the basket. Our policy is that we don’t fly children under 7 years.

The Entire experience last about 3 hours. Mention to the team that you have to be ready to leave the Hunter Valley by 10am and they will make sure you are not late. As a general rule at this time of year you are back at Crowne Plaza by 8:30 / 9am
