An interesting trip! It is a bit of a steep and unstable climb down and back up. We wore trainers which was fine! Interestingly Nimis is barely mentioned/labelled on any tourist info guides and maps of the area. Having spoken to someone who works for...More

Park your car close to Himmelsgård and enjoy a 30-45 min walk in the woods. The last 10 min is steep and slippery. Jogging shoes is good enough if it hasn't been raining. The Nimis sculpture is full of nails, so watch your head.

Really worth the hard walk? I'm not sure on this. Steep climbing and lots of stones everywhere. Carry enough water and food

Wear comfortable clothes and walking shoes and be prepared to walk! Nimis doesn't have an official status so you won't find it on google maps. But follow the signs to Himmelberg. That said, the walk on a day of good weather is great and once...More

Make sure you have your trainers on and be prepared to cancel if it's been raining the same day. The walk is approx 30 minutes one way.

Nimis has no official status and therefore no official signs - follow sign to "himmelberg" - as the city authorities are terrified of people falling off it or breaking legs on the path etc. And indeed the path to it is very tough going, tree...More

Be prepared for a steep descent to this rather strange place. Vilks has been working, first in secrecy, on this installation since 1980. He is now under constant Secret Service protection (not due to this but his placing a plywood dog with a supposedly Mohammed-like...More

It took a while to get there and it was quite steep. I would recommend not to go there when its wet after a rain or so. Scary hills down and the construction even more scary. No guarantees at all and very unstable so watch...More
