Awesome beaches & landscape. The island is to be reached through a long bridge. Totally worth the trip to this island. We visited the Kouri Tower; incredible views from the tower.

You do not need to pay to enjoy the view at the tower ib the middke of this island. Taking a picture from the parking lot of the tower is enough. If you drive over the hill of the tower, you may find a 'love stone' watching beach. If you drive through narrow one way road, you can find a... More

Another interesting place to visit while you are exploring the north of Okinawa. The islet is accessed through two bridges, including Kouri Bridge where picturesque ocean view can be enjoyed during the drive-through. The only attraction on it is the Ocean Tower but we did not manage to visit due to late arrival. However, the islet itself is very rural... More

You can reach this beautiful island through Kouri-bride. This island has sky blue ocean you can swim and relax on the beach.I think this beach is the most beautiful place in Okinawa.

We stayed here for a week at the end of March and were bowled over by the stunning views, tranquil pace and turquoise seas... Some lovely little places to stop for a drink or bite to eat and we found a deserted beach... This place made our trip to Okinawa!

I stopped by Kouri island after visiting the Churaumi Aquarium. It's a charming little drive (the main road makes a loop around the island so you get to see the whole island). We wanted to explore the tidepools and caves that someone had recommended but there weren't many signs directing us to any locations. We happened to pull off on... More

Kouri Island is a small island outside of an island that connects to the main Island Okinawa. The Kouri Bridge was magnificent and the mini trip to the tower was fun. The Tower & Shell Museum has an amazing selection of seashells. The biggest selection of seashells I have ever seen.

The bridge from Yagaji island is well worth the trip to Kouri island...2Kms long and with wonderful views. Yagaji and Kouri island give a strong impression of what life was like before Okinawa was developed. Beautiful views, some traditional red tiled roof homes. Lots of farmland, especially sugar cane farms. The views across to the main island of Okinawa are... More

The Kouri bridge itself is already an attractive point, accompanied by the sea and sky. Just another awesome place.

Crossing the bridge is just half the fun, but once you get here you can relax and chill and enjoy the lovely beaches and scenery. Just remember to bring sunscreen to prevent a bad sunburn!
