About
Hanazono Niseko is internationally renowned for its consistently high falls of light powder snow and it's long ski season which runs from early December until April. Averaging around 15m+ of snow each season, Hanazono is famous for its wide open powder bowls and tree runs. The resort is family friendly with a large closed off open area for the resort operated ski school, a beginner snow park and lots of family-friendly activities like our tube park and snowmobiling. Hanazono EDGE is the base to operate your holidays from, it includes a massive restaurant & bar area. Hanazono 308 also has a ticket counter, as well as a rental store and a retail store, which is the starting point for all our activities. In summer it doesn't matter if you’re here for the watersports, golf, biking, hiking, tree trekking or even local cuisine you’re sure to have a great time in and around Hanazono Niseko.

I booked a Canyoning tour with Hanazono following advices from Mykola, and I can say the tour I had was amazing.
We went on sunday morning and it was safe, fun and we observed a few things with our guide Shogo (gold, fish...). I was stoked when I saw the last difficulties of the day: un big waterfall and a 6 meters jump!!!
I can say it was totally worth it and I am now thinking about booking another tour to experience the Mach3 zipline

Took 2 days of ski instruction. Zdenek was very professional while friendly. Marg was very patient with us too. In the end, the kids managed a red slope. Wished there was more green slopes that let you come back to Park Hyatt.
Online booking of activities was easy but changes required either email or a phone call.

Can you imagine heated seats and covers on your ski lifts and luxurious, modern cafes and restaurants? Well, that's Hanazono. It's a boarder's paradise over there. Mostly advanced runs (reds) but they are doable. Plus the resort has two terrain parks that are sick! Enthusiastically recommend!

They sell early bird lift ticket but its only for Hirafu and Hanazono. No upgrade to all mountain.
They don't refund and you have to buy whole new ticket.
Really inflexible.

Thank you for your valuable comments. The lift ticket was originally a special deal that could not be upgraded to another lift ticket, and this was indicated on the website. However, we will try to make our website clearer. Once again, thank you so much for your feedback.

The Hanazono ski area is by a mile my favourite place in Niseko - the 308 plaza is the best "hub" of the resort with a restaurant, shop and ski school. There are many fun activities as well for kids or adults in the area.
The runs are not too hard and are enjoyable to ski down. The lift staff are also very friendly and professional and the lifts are comfortable itself.

Nice ski resort with lots of potential. They just built a Park Hyatt Hotel and Residence with explanations in the plans. Already putting up light poles for night skiing. Plans on putting in new lifts. Currently only three lifts and only day time skiing and snowboarding. They have a park and some of the best tree skiing in Niseko. The most famous of them is called Strawberry Fields.

Wow. We explored Hanazono with good snow and had an epic time in the strawberry fields. For anyone seeking pillows, drops, hits everywhere and some steep tech in the trees into a more casual gradient playground at the bottom. My favourite place in Niseko.

We skied here for 2 days, it was well organised and had modern facilities. It has a range of ski runs for all levels of experience and a fun park too.

Hanazono is a great place to start sizing your items, rent equipment and then go for practice. There is a very long magic carpet which allows you to go up the slope to practice again and again your drills. Only drawback is that the slope is slightly steep

Hello, how do we go to your place from Otaru? We will be from Ginrinsou Ryokan in Otaru. We are not driving. We will be taking public transport. Thank you.

Hi,
You need to take a train to Sapporo or Chitose Airport to take a bus (Hokkaido Resort liner, etc) there.
Do a search on "Hokkaido Access Network", winter bus.
Whether you going to Ski, Sightseeing, or to the Resort, you can make a check with them.

I am going to Niseko on 19Dec to 22 Dec, is the Hanazono park open? Any ski activities? Is it safe to do snowmobile in Hanazono as would like to try.
Thanks

Hi Nmk70 , I could guarentee that Hanazono will be well and truly open by then , the skiing will be awsome and although I dont use the terrain park i am sure it will be open , I myself chase the powder runs through the trees. My two sons [14 and 15 ] and I went snowmobile riding this year in January and yes it is very safe. We booked through the Hokaido Tracks office where we stayed , at Yama Shizen , but there are a few places that arrange snomobile tours. Enjoy.

Hi
May I check is snow tubing and snow sledding available at Hirafu family kids park on 8 Dec to 14 Dec 2016?
I read that 2015 it open only at 20 Dec.
Please help to answer, Also how do I get to Hirafu kids park from Niseko Prince hotel Hirafutei??

Niseko Prince Hotel Hirafutei is not far from the Hirafu Welcome Centre, which is where the free skibus shuttle to and fro Hanazono is located. It comes approximately every 20 minutes. It's a 15 minutes journey, probably less if you have your own transport. Alternatively, if you've signed up with NISS (the ski-school), I believe they too can provide transport from a designated pick-up point near the Grand Hirafu Kids snowpark. Check with the NISS team (they're pretty quick in answering any queries).
Check out hanazononiseko website to check out the ski-school and the bus shuttle schedule and pick-up points around Niseko.
hope that helps!

Is going to niseko on novemer 15-18 of this year a good idea ? I mean, are the resorts open and the shops? Will there be snow during this time?
Satoshi N
Niseko-cho, Japan28 contributions
Hi. if it is skiing you want to do, that would not be a good timing to visit Niseko. Most of the ski resorts would open from end November and restaurants/bars would open at around the same timing as the resorts.
Usually there will be snow in mid November but not enough to ski on.
