Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Seeing this beach, I was very much interested in swimming there. The wave was so friendly, that several people went down the beach to enjoy the warm water, the soft wind blew the wave from the ocean. I saw some foreigners laid down in the sands, reading books, listening to music, even chatting with their friends. There's a notice board warning for tsunami evacuation.

this beach has so much to offer, besides the ocean...so many places to eat and drink, several local vendors, selling food..the best corn I ever tasted....great service..plenty of cushy, comfortable seating throughout the beach..surfing lessons available for a very reasonable cost...love the fact that the locals celebrate the sunset every evening at this beach...

This part of Bali is relatively quiet and this beach reflects that. Yes it does get its fair share of visitors and the beach is well populated with walkers, local families as well as tourists from both Indonesia and beyond but I did not see any hawkers or sunbeds for rent (I wasn't looking too hard)

I was pleased to see a lot of local families enjoying the beach on a Sunday afternoon. Even more delightful was Balinese dances taking place underneath the big statue near the beach sign.

The sand is volcanic sand so black... and shellers - you will be delighted to know the beach does have shells on it

This is a great part of Canggu. The quieter area. Probably the 2 best surf spots and a slower pace to Echo Beach area. Secluded villas in between rice paddocks. Nice. A few good places to eat such as Premier Surf Camp (good coffee with a trained barista) and Birra & Pizza (great calzone pizza). Pondok Loman resort is right on the beach and has an upstairs bar which has a fantastic view of the surf and sunset. Also hard to go past Leah's Warung which is right at the end of Pererenan Road...... $2 Bintangs and a glass of Wolf Blass for $5.50. Top value.

A nice black sand beach with reasonably warm water. This is mainly a surf beach although there were several people swimming - the currents can be strong so stay close to the shore or within the flags if you're not a confident swimmer. This is a nice spot to watch the sunset. Please be careful of your possessions - some people near us had a bag stolen right in front of them! Unfortunately there is a lot of plastic waste at this beach as it seems that there aren't adequate bins and also tourists and locals are using too much single use plastic around the beach - every second person had a plastic water bottle. This is certainly detracting from what should be an amazing beach

This is one of the quieter beaches. Definitely not overrun. A bit like the old bali . People are very friendly and you can see everywhere rice fields.

Pererenan is a great beach for surfing, not so much for swimming. It has a great local vibe, with both expats and locals coming together to enjoy paradise. Take a drive to watch the sun go down at this chilled out beach and enjoy a drink from the "Blue Combe", Its heaven on a stick.
