Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Total waste of our time. The beach was about 10 feet wide and though it was a long stretch it was jammed packed with people. Parking was hard to find. It was a warm, sunny day and everyone came out to "enjoy" the beach. We left within 10 - 15 minutes as was way too crowded and wasn't as the description I read "white sand and stunning blue green waters". The sand is not that white and thought it was soft and fine it was just way too crowded. The water is blue but not "stunning blue green". This is obviously a place the locals go so as a tourist don't waste your time. We saw many other beaches that were much prettier and much less crowded.

Nice sandy beach BUT very busy, lots of sand flies and you can smell sewage in certain wind directions. There are houses around this area so guessing this is where the sewage goes.
We didn’t stay long because we were grossed out. Otherwise a nice beach, we just didn’t want to be swimming in poop water :)

The porta potties are badly maintained so it's unpleasant to use them. Today I was sitting in my car and caught a woman squatting just outside my driver's door, peeing. I confronted her but she told me to mind my own business. I suspect she didn't want to use the toilets any more than I will.
Last time I visit this filthy beach.

Just another beautiful area to explore and enjoy! Walk, picnic, sight see, or just sit and enjoy the beauty!

If you are traveling through eastern Nova Scotia, you MUST put Queensland Beach on your "must see beach list." It is nothing short of spectacular! Beautiful soft sand and crisp, clear turquoise-y blue water! Do not be deterred by the the water temp. It's on the colder side but is quite refreshing after being in the sun. We chatted with locals and just had a wonderful 2 days on this beach!!!

We go to Queensland Beach about 3-4 times a year. For those of you not familar with Nova Scotia waters, I will advise that the water tends to be cold. Even after it has had all summer to warm up, approach the water with wariness and ease yourself in!!
The beach itself is not very big so can get quite crowded on a hot summer day. My wife and I tend to go during the non busy times or later in the day and September is a favorite time to go. Though the water is not condusive to an all day swim, it is nice to be there to listen to the waves and read a book.
Having been to quite a few beaches it is not world class...water too cold...beach is short....sand is OK. But it will do the trick if you want to get somewhere to cool off and listen to the waves.
It's about 30-40 minutes outside of Halifax so worth a visit.

Beautiful beach with vault toilets and change rooms. The parking lot is right across from the beach so its great if you have lots of stuff - cooler, chairs, toys, etc. We stopped for icecream just down the road. What a great day with my two little ones!

We visited this lovely beach on a coolish, overcast day so we had it to ourselves. It beautiful! It would be a fantastic place for a day by the ocean. I was told the water is warm in summer, but that the beach can be very crowded on nice days. It was worth the brief stop we made to visit during a road trip.

Queensland is a great spot for family fun. The road along the shore has been rebuilt and there is lots of parking space these days. A bit of surfing is possible with no serious undertow involved. Clean sand and a short drive from the Halifax. Highly recommended.

Nice, clean sandy beach. Swimming is at its best in August and September as the water temperatures can get up to 20 degrees (Celsius). Parking is available with changing rooms as well. Ocean is clean and some days you can get great wave action. Doesn't seem to be any currents, so safe for children. This beach is supervised during the summer months by the Province.
