About
We are a Brazilian couple, who left our home country to build a dream in Casablanca. We craft cool climate, world-class wines, on a human scale. Wines that are consistently ranked among the best in the country. We advocate for sustainable practices and give examples by using solar energy, building with refurbished shipping containers, and using organic practices in the vineyard, like composting the residues to turn them into fertilizers. During the tour through the vineyard and at the tasting of 5 award-winning and very representative wines from the Attilio & Mochi terroir, the co-owner and winemaker Angela Mochi will tell you first-hand her story with Marcos Attilio, how come we arrived here to make some of the best Chilean wines in the Casablanca Valley. Experience personal care and an engaging conversation, while learning the secrets of making wines of exceptional quality. IMPORTANT: We do not have "open doors" and have visitors by appointment only.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were accommodated at very short notice. Our host was very friendly and welcoming and has an easy manner in describing the philosophy of this small production winery.
We really enjoyed the sample wines and explanations, however I felt it was expensive in relation to other tours at more established wineries.

Tks for coming by and rating our tour and tasting. Regarding the price, I would just like to point that here we offer a truly "meet and talk to the owner and winemaker" experience. On top of that, our wines are really world-class, just recently the AM Malbec was chosen as The Best Malbec in the country, the Amber as the 2nd best in the Orange Wines category, AM Grenache as 2nd Best Grenache in the country and AM Cab Franc is listed in James Suckling Top 100 wines from Chile.

The owner herself did our tour, since this is a new and up-and-coming vineyard who is proving to the world that they can grow amazing grapes, even red grapes (which many believed not possible, til they started winning prizes). She was VERY personable and accessible with her information, and her enthusiasm for her new life (they moved from Brazil) was palpable. Fun time.

Took the tour on the recommendation of our hotelier. This lovely Brazillian couple moved to Chile in 2011 to pursue their dream of becoming winemakers. This is a true "mom and pop" operations which puts out about 12K bottles annually, themselves. The wife (Angela) speaks perfect English. Because her husband (Marcus) always wanted to make red wine, these are the couple's signature wines in a valley known for its white wines. Angela revels in their beginnings when most locals told her and Marcus that they were fools to grow red grapes in the Valley. But it turns out their wines are some of the most renowned in the country (get her to tell you the story when Costco came a knocking). Prices are a little high, but Angela says they're worth it. Definitely recommend.

Coming to A&M is like going to a friend's home, where you feel sincerely welcome from the moment go. This small boutique winery produces some lovely fresh, crisp and original wines and Angela, co-owner with her husband, gives what I think must best the best winery tour I have had ever had anywhere in the world. The fact that you are taking to the winemakers themselves and not a guide, plus the small scale of the place makes for a truly memorable experience. Thanks to the people on Andanzas Andinas for suggesting it

Thanks to Dom of Andanzas Andinas for bringing me here as I probably wouldn't have found it on my own. A small boutique husband-and-wife setup making brilliant, original wines and with one of the most entertaining, informative and good-vibe winery tours I 've had anywhere. Thanks Angela, apart from making amazing wines you're a lovely person. which made our visit to your charming winery one of the high points of our trip.

I try to avoid larger wineries and seach for smaller places where one can have a more intimate experience - or as intimate as possible - and A&M works on all fronts. As mentioned here, the Granache is amazing and I absolutely loved their unfiltered 'orange' wine Amber as I did their lovely minerally Sav blanc. One would sit chatting to charming co-owner/winemaker Angela for hours. As I had read in previous reviews before going there, it really is like visiting a friend. Highly recommended. Only disspointment: Franc (their dog) is lovely but would be lovelier if he let himself be petted!

It´s so nice to read a review like this....I really enjoy having people here, and so does Franc. I remember him wagging his tail for you many times, but yes.....he has his "personal/dogal" space, so only Marcos and I are allowed to pet him (lucky us!!!). On the other hand, I totally get your disappointment hahaha

We came here at the end of a three week tour of both Argentina and Chile and what a find. From the minute we arrived, Angela made us feel completely at home and encouraged questions, photographs and total enjoyment. The surprise is how good the wine is with the Grenache absolute heaven. I am just so sorry I cannot yet buy this in the uk but will live in hope! If you get the chance to visit this fabulous family run vineyard where wine really is made with passion, you will not be disappointed.

Thank you very much for your opinion!! We just picked up all the Malbec and going for the Cab Franc and Grenache in 2 or 3 more weeks. Hope we can find a smaller/more proper distributor in UK soon, and so you can have it easily nearby you. All the best !!

A guide at another winery in Casablanca suggested we visit A&M and I'm so glad we did. Angela is fun, entertaining and wonderful host. Her explanation of their sweet boutique winery and processes were fascinating as is their life story, giving it all up in Brazil to pursue a passion for making great wine. Although they make various different wines there were at that point only three to try, but that was fine. We loved them all especially the 2013 Pinot which is incredible. Absolutely worth a visit. Thanks Angela!

I have to tell you that only now I saw your comments about us and absolutely loved it. Thank you!! Definitely, I need to log on Trip Advisor more frequently :-) Btw, we just bottled the Amber (the orange wine) and Grenache The First (the really first from our beautiful Casablanca Valley). The next will be DulceFuerte, a fortified wine, kind of Port Vintage. Hope you can come back here some other time, and enjoy these ones as well. Have a great weekend, Angela

We visited as part of a day trip visiting different wineries and vineyards in the Casablanca valley. It was our last day before flying back to Europe following a three month trip and we couldn't have chosen a better way to spend it. Angela was very welcoming and made us feel like friends. The wines were very good (we'll be looking out for them at home in the UK) as well as the cheese and bread ...which we ate a lot of! On the eve of returning back to our corporate lives it was inspiring to meet people who have changed their lives to do something which they are passionate about...and it shows in the wine!

Today we had an incredible experience in the company of Angela Mochi who, together with her husband Marcos Attilio, founded the Attilio & Mochi winery in the Casablanca valley. She introduced us to the vineyards and then accompanied us to taste five of the winery's labels. Sensational!!! Highlights include Amber and Cabernet Franc. We were able to learn more about the history of the winery and each of the labels we tasted. It was very pleasant. Angela, I thank you immensely for all the hospitality you offered us and I wish Attilio & Mochi every success. If the reader of this review is visiting Santiago, please take a moment to meet them. It will be memorable, certainly.
