You must to visit if you are in Kyoto. Shiga prefecture is just few minutes by train from Kyoto, Chikubushima is most recommend place to go in Shiga prefecture. When you are arriving this tiny island, you may feel peaceful energy.

If you want to really enjoy this trip, make sure to prepare well so you know it's history and what you will see there. There is no english help at hand once you are on on the island. So don't make the same mistake as...More
