Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went because a friend is interested in stained glass and this was near to our hotel. The church which is part of the museum was lovely but you could not take photos. There was no English to explain anything. Inside the house there was examples of stained glass from all over the world, a lot from UK. These were explained in English but others such as examples of Japanese were not. The gift shop was disappointing and I could not buy a decent gift for my friend. I felt the Japanese were trying to create something they had seen in Europe and felt it was not a true museum just some nice glass to look at with no explaination.

In order to appreciate the beauty and value of stained glasses, it is better to have basic knowledge and history about them. Though this church keeps a small collection of valuable stained glasses, they still worth a short visit since we are already in Yufuin.

I tried to make Stained glass at here.
They teach me how to make it kindly.
It’s interesting. It’s needed around 1.5 hours.
Price will be 3000-5000 JP YEN.
It depends on your design.

I visited the museum next to the Yufuin Stained Glass Museum to experience stained glass. It was my first time to try stained glass, but I had a lot of fun choosing my favorite stained glass colors, such as mirrors and photo frames. It was a valuable experience. I felt at ease because the teacher was there to guide me. The work became a family memory. On the way back, I looked around the museum. If you have time, I recommend you stop by.

I visited the museum while sightseeing in Yufuin. It was a little far from the main area so it took some time to get there, but the exhibits were worth seeing so I'm glad I went. If you purchase an admission ticket, you can visit the interior of the adjacent St. Robert Church in addition to the museum.

The exhibition room has a dim and calm atmosphere, and various stained glass pieces of different sizes are on display. They are intricately crafted like paintings, and are highly artistic and worth seeing. It was a good experience because I don't usually have a chance to see stained glass or the interior of a church. There are also wonderful stained glass items in the shop, so it would be nice to buy some as a souvenir to take home.
