Closed off but we an aged to get some photos of the mountain and valley. The late afternoon sun was not great for the photos of the valley but nonetheless a great view of the surrounds. Spend under 10 mins if that. We left Yufuin en route to Beppu.

On the way to Beppu we came across this observatory and was attracted by the views it offers. Yufuin area and Mount Yufu can been seen from here. There is a shop that sell local snack available if you feel the need to compliment the great views.

It was one of my favorite place in Japan. Seeing the valey, surrounded by hills of yufu mount with grasses that changes color each season. breezy afternoon. silent sunset. nice ice cream. Just perfect for creating memories. Need to go back!

It is located between Yufudake and Yufu city. Could drop by if you're on the way. There's a small shop and washroom.

After you drive for an hour, this is a great stop to have a stretch. Fantastic panoramic view there. There are a small shop. Remember to try the sesame soft ice cream. The taste is so great. If you are not full, you can try the soy bean hard ice cream too.

Past by here on the way to Yufuin and glad that we made the stop. Can see the whole town from where, and the majestic mountain as background. Great photography stop!
