The is one of "Three Sceneries of Japan". It is very interesting how Japanese market this beautiful place. You have to bend and view the scene upside down between your legs! However, the view is equally breathtaking without doing that. We took the single chair lift to the top and down. My daughter (6-year-old) was too young to sit by... More

Chair lift, no thanks. It looked to scary. I will handle the wait. When you get up there it is a simply breathtaking view.

With a fractured ankle and on crutches, I still managed to get up to see the view by 'looking between your legs'. Big thanks to the strong men (staff) at the ropeway that got me to the car lift in my wheelchair. It was definitely a memorable and worthwhile trip. Hopefully I will get chance to come come back and... More

You have 2 options, to either take a single seater chair lift without belt or to take the tram (1 lane, only one goes up, after it goes up, it goes down). The chair lift option is pretty fun but be sure not to drop your items! You can go to the different standing benches and look at Amanohashidate through... More

We drove from Osaka. I planned to visit it as it is recognized as 3 most scenic view in Japan. We were there on a nice sunny day. The sand bar view from mountain is amazing. This is a must visit if you love the natural scenic view.

Simple and small theme park, but most important is view of the sandbar is amazing. You can make nice panorama shots. The price for the way up and down is very cheap and, you just want to take pictures from the top. I think is better If you go summer/ spring season.

A must visit obviously when in Amanohashidate. The land bridge/spit is lovely and the surroundings are fabulous. We were there on a lovely sunny day making it very special. This is a glorious part of Japan and worth the time in your itinerary. We drove from Kyoto and found it easy.

OK, weather was not on our side as rain was just about to start. We took monorail up despite it runs only every 20 minutes. There are also some other activities up here, but we prefered to go down and walk Amanohashidate beach as long as we had to return back to car (then already raining). View was very good... More
