The area
Neighbourhood: Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

SUMIDA RIVER TERRACE
The well-maintained road along the river has a straight line distance of about 5 km from Ryogoku to Minami-Senju, and it is a popular spot for running runners on weekends.🌁🏃💦
There are many people who take a walk with their dogs.🐕🐈🐾
The refreshing breeze along the river is the perfect place for everyone to enjoy their own way.🥰

My memories of the Sumida-gawa were limited to my time spent living Tokyo during the 1990s. I was there from 1992 to 1999 and would have seen the Sumida river only a few times, and mostly from the train. Wow, I was really impressed. It was quite majestic and the view North towards Tokyo SkyTree was most impressive at dusk.

This is a beautifully maintained promenade along the Sumida River. My hotel was in Hakozaki, but after walking around Asakusabashi and other areas, I used this to return home. It's a bit windy, so it might be tough on cold days, but otherwise it's refreshing.
