If you only visit one onsen in Kinosaki, make it Goshono. You can tell straight away from the outside that this bath is special, the building, with it’s water lily filled pond in front, is strikingly beautiful. The baths themselves live up to the outside, with a number of great spaces. There’s a spacious indoor pool with powerful jets to... More

The brochure said this is the Bath of Beauty. A nice onsen with a great outdoor bath with faces the hillside in the back of the onsen. It features a waterfall, cascading over large boulders, feeding water to the outdoor bath. Very scenic. They open at 7 a.m. They are closed 1st and 3rd Thursdays.

This is to me considered one of the best two of the seven onsens in Kinosaki. It is located in the heart of the town. The building is right at the foot of the hill so you can enjoy the view of the cascade through the high glass ceiling - outdoor bath and steam room are also very nice when... More

This spa is in Kinosaki Spa Resort, villa ground of Kyoto. From Tokyo, just 2 h flight from Haneda to Itami Airpot and to Tajima Airport. If you would like to enjoy Spa and Japanese meal in Japan, I recommend you to stay in Kinosaki Spa town with Japanese emotion. Very relaxed. Most Japanese people love bathing in hot springs,... during my 2 day stay in Kinosaki, I spent most of my time in the water at different onsen. Gosho no yu was the first one i went to and it was the most appealing one. The building looks very welcoming with the swung roof and wooden structure. I guess it felt kind of luxurious? The inner bath was quite... More

This is one of my two fav onsen here at Kinosaki. It comes with an outdoor onsen pool overlooking the waterfall. Due to the location which is of very easy access, this is also the busiest/crowded onsen among all.

It was super crowded on Sunday night. Went back next morning. Enjoyed the peaceful morning at the outdoor pool with an amazing waterfall setting. There is also a steam room and jacuzzi. Definitely one of my favourite.

As a foreigner, probably one of my favorite bathhouses in Kinosaki. Centrally located, spacious, with an appealing layout inside. Since it can get really crowded on weekends, a larger bathhouse really does help. The only one that rivals this one in my opinion is the bathhouse right next to the train station, but that can be a walk for people... More

This was by far our favourite bath house in Kinosaki. We went here multiple times. The outdoor pools with the waterfalls made for a most relaxing and beautiful experience.
