Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great place to rest and have a picnic.quiet for meditation and prayer. Amazing view to the whole area of the coast and the town. Very close to Lisbon. It's being renovated and there's a music festival from may 25 to June 23.

This former convent for eight monks, yes, it's a convent, not a monastery, because the monks interacted with the locals, whereas monks just pray, is built into the mountain a la Frank Lloyd Wright. It was built in 1560 and much of it is made from local stone and cork. It looks nothing like the picture here and I think the picture is incorrect. It housed Franciscan monks and is an architectural and natural wonder. It has some challenging steps and walkways for the unfit.

If you want a very good view of the coast South of Lisbon (Costa da Caparica) and even North of the capital (Sintra) then this is a place where you can make your wonderful pictures.

Wonderful, atmospheric, quiet, spiritual and not over restored. In a lovely park and a nice, peaceful change from bustling Sintra.

Convento dos Capuchos, is one of the oldest places near Costa da Caparica (5min by car, or 15-30min by bicycle). The building and surrounding garden is well preserved. This place offers one of the best views of Costa da Caparica, and it's often used by "Just Married" couples to take weeding photo sessions.
Enjoy!

A great place to visit not only for he great view of the city of Costa de Caparica and its beaches but also for the Franciscan chapel built in 1558 and its fantastic tile panels, whose theme is the St. Anthony's sermons

How can I get here without a car? And without taking the awful red hop on/hop off bus that rips people off.
