Worth going for the view over Lisbon but you don’t even need to go up all those stairs and pay entry to appreciate the view. Just go to the edge in front of the statue.
Beware there is no lift.

The Cardinal of Lisbon, after visiting Brazil in 1934, was inspired by the Christ the Redeemer Statue of Rio. His idea turned into reality in 1940 when the Portuguese Bishops made a pledge in Fatima (the location of the Marian appearances to the shepherd children). “If Portugal were spared from the War, a Monument to the Sacred Heart of Jesus would be erected over Lisbon, a sign visible of how God, through Love, wishes to conquer all humanity for Himself”. Portugal remained neutral during WWII. The effort continued with fundraising by Portuguese children “Pedras Pequeninas” that lasted almost 20 years. The monument’s first stone was laid in 1949, and 10 years later, the statue of Cristo Rei was inaugurated and dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The 92-foot (28 meters) statue sits atop a pedestal of 269 feet (82 meters). With arms outstretched towards Lisbon, Christo Rei is visible from just about anywhere in the city. The Sanctuary is much more than a monument, and through the years has been expanded to accommodate pilgrims and retreats. The expansive plaza surrounding the monument is free and includes Stations of the Cross, along with beautiful views of the Tagus River and Lisbon. For a birds-eye view of the city, spend 6 EU to go to the top of the statue. Then visit the contemporary Chapel of Our Lady of Peace for quiet reflection and prayers. Write your own private intentions and leave in the box at the entrance. For believers, the Sanctuary is must. It’s a powerful story of faith, love, and gratitude for the gift of peace.

We went first thing on a sunny Saturday morning at 10.30 as soon as it opened. The views are stunning! The views of the city, the bridge and of course, Jesus himself! Absolutely worth it.

It's not easy to get to via public transport. A 20-30 min walk from the ferry (Cacilhas).
Alternatively a 20 min walk from Pragal station. Make sure you have the walk planned out.

At 6 Euros per person, it was so cheap for a premier attraction. But be warned, they don't take card payments, so make sure you have cash.

This statute is huge and looks across at Lisbon central. Looks very like the Christ the Reeder one in Rio in Brazil . Recommended

If staying in Lisbon take the effort to take the ferry over to Almada (The other side of the river) and combine this attraction with the nearby Ship of the Line.
Once at the top a bird's eye view of the bridge. So cheap as well as I recall only being 4 euros.
This monument is situated nicely in the city of Almada and goes well along side the bridge. It's nice to look across to it while you cross the bridge

From the park you can have a great view of Lisbon cross Tagus River, the 25 de Abril Bridge. But it's worthy to pay the ticket and go up to the viewpoint platform, where you will have a magnificent panoramic view of Lisbon!

The Sanctuary of Christ the King is a Catholic monument and shrine dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ. The statue of Christ the King is a symbol of Lisbon and is located in Almada. The entire structure of the monument is 110 m high. At a height of 80 meters, there is an observation deck that can be accessed by an elevator. The monument was officially unveiled on May 17, 1959. The figure of Christ is 28 meters high and has an arm span of over 20 meters. It was inspired by the Christ the Redeemer statue of Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil. The giant statue in cement was erected to express gratitude because the Portuguese were spared the effects of World War II. From the observation deck we can see all of Lisbon.

6 Euro entry cash only. Only the church
can get away with it. No wonder the place looks so run down.
