Such a serine beach, away from the typical consumerism beaches in the area. There are no chairs or umbrellas for rent or bars/cafes. Completely isolated inlet. It’s a steep climb down, sneakers are defiantly recommended. Don’t forget to pack a cooler of beer and some goggles. There are lots of big rocks to snorkel around. Entry into the water is fairly simple, however the rocks can be hard on the feet. My husband refuses to ever purchase water shoes because it’s uncalled for for a Croatian, but I recommend! It is very hot here, but the water can be cooler than in most bays because of the direct access from the sea. Enjoy!

This is a beautiful beach if a little off the beaten track.
It is not well sign posted from the road and when you turn off the main road in Popovici the road surface is pretty terrible! Parking at the end of the road though.
Very steep walk around the edge of a cliff down to the beach which makes for a very step hard work climb back up which is made harder by the heat!
But if you want a beautiful unspoilt beach then the effort is worth it!
The beach is stony like most beaches in Croatia but if you have some beach shoes you will be fine. Beautiful clear water great for snorkelling and on one of our visits some fantastic waves which our boys loved!
There is no shade on this beach so I recommend taking your own brolly if you can’t stand the heat!

If you like natural beauty this is the place to go.
The trip does start with driving on a very very narrow road, and if you meet another car someone must back up since there’s only room for one.
When you get to the end of the road you then have to walk 5-10 minutes down a beautiful but sometimes steep walkway to the beach.
But it’s worthwhile!
The beach is simply amazing. As taken out of a movie about paradise.
The water is crystal clear, and the pebble beach is very nice. A lot of locals use it but it was not at all overcrowded, when we visited in July 2021.
If you like snorkeling there are some great rocks on both sides of the beach with lots of fish and underwater fauna.
There’s no shops or bars. So remember to take all you need with you.

Indeed beautiful (although I have seen similar and better beaches in Spain and Portugal) but so terribly small that one wonders if this classifies as a beach in the first place. The main problem is that it is so popular and small that it is almost impossible to find a place to sit let alone lie down. Note: no restaurants, steep climb down, and big stones in the water. Bring your own food and drinks.

This is NOT the best beach on Adriatic, but it is an unusual one for Europe. It’s located on the bottom of the cliff and is south-facing. This means three things: you will need to walk down to it from a car park on top of the cliff and climb back up (pretty easy walk for us, not suitable for baby buggies or bad knees though), there is no natural shade (bring sun screen, hat, umbrella, water and whatever else you’ll need in full sun) and rocks CAN come down from the rockface above so pick your seat strategically just in case.
Other things worth considering: it’s a pebble beach so water shoes will make it more comfortable to walk on and get in/out of water (we were fine without them). There are no lifeguards so if you can’t swim, don’t attempt to. There are no facilities so pee and put your swimwear on before you get there and bring your own food and drink (and take rubbish back with you). There also is no network coverage so unless you have driven yourself there, make pickup arrangements in advance - there is mobile reception in the car park and in some spots on the way, but no internet until you’re back near the main road.
So with all this, why bother going there? Because it’s a beautiful, breathtaking walk down and back up, because the swimming is decent and because it’ll make you feel like you’re in an adventure. It’s unique in a sense that it’s secluded and under a big ole piece of rock.

Located in the small village called Popovici, this is a beach symbol of the wide region of Dubrovnik, as it is one of the most beautiful in Dalmatia and is located in an unusual place. It is necessary to go by car through a rather narrow regional road in some stretches, park and follow on foot for about twenty minutes slope down in about 300 steps to access this place. It is a small and secluded beach in the region of Popovici, but the color of the sea impresses so blue. Outside of that, there's a massive wall that surrounds the entire beach. The beach was formed by the natural erosion of the ribs and has a unique shape, consisting of thin basins and sand and as you descend the narrow path between the cliffs, you will be rewarded with stunning views over the blue waters that shine under the sun!
Not at all, the Dubrovnik government warns that if any accident occurs there, there will be no compensation to any possible victims, so the visitor enters this area at his own risk! As this beach is quite famous, it is only worth going to the place in the low season and during some useful day of the week.

Stunning views, the most amazing clear turquoise water but the smallest strip of sand and really not practical for young children or older people. This beach is best for young couples or friends who want to snorkel not sunbathe. Also extremely crowded. We walked down the mountain which I really enjoyed but was on edge because my 75 year old mum was with me. A boat would have been much safer!

Really nice beach - pebbles, rocks, and a very small strip of sand. To access the beach it is best to drive, the road is narrow in places. There is parking at the top and you need to walk down the cliff side to the beach. The walk has steps and some path, but the final bit is very steep and slippery so wear good shoes. Not accessible to people with mobility difficulties. No toilets or amenities. Recommend getting there before 10am as it's a small and very popular beach.

Definitely worth to come to this beach. the road is quite narrow but okay. There is some place to leave the car. Beach is a pretty crowd and you will not find there any shower. Howe the views and cleanness of the water are superb. Be prepared for around 10 minutes walk down to reach the beach and a bit more to go up again while coming back.

Nice place, beautiful view, nice beach, overcrowded in July. It has a steep approach, few sections were slippy due to small stones. It does not look very safe when you are under 50m cliff. Water was nice and clean. Road is in terrible condition, full of holes bad surface and very narrow.
