Make sure you wait for the bats coming out after sunset, millions of them, it's quite a sight, and if you're lucky you'll see s,e of the freshies grabbing them out of the air !!

We loved Windjana Gorge when we visited earlier this week as part of our drive around Australia. We hadn’t intended to even head up this way but had an extra couple of days so we pushed through the GRR to King Leopold Ranges and Windjana...More

This tour was with Adams Pinnacle Tours. This is a very long day trip, picked up @ 0700 & returned @ 2200hrs. What a day, the gorge is magnificent with the rocks showing the geology over the millennium. Plenty of bird life on our visit...More

This is another example of having reasonable access to nature. Breath-taking granite cliffs, beautiful clear water and plenty of green foliage (due to the high rainfall). A visit here makes a lovely break from the road and well worth a stop/picnic

So majestic and beautiful. You need to see this. Just take a stroll, sit and take it all in, observe the freshwater crocs, go for a walk/hike or all of the above ... you won't be disappointed.

There were plenty of crocodiles sunning themselves on the far bank. They seemed happy to have their photos taken. The sand stone walls have fossils waiting to be found. The gorge is cool and flowering plants provide food and shelter for small animal life. It...More
