Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Not centrally located. You would need to drive or get a grab to visit.
Worth seeing it though.
Looks like work is being done to the entrance so could be more of a developed tourist site in the future. Cafe/shop opposite. Parking there too.

This is a bridge left behind by the British, built more than 100 years ago. A must stop for people nowadays to take a good photograph.

Victoria Bridge is situated out of the Kuala Kangsar town. The visitors must drive to this place and there is no public transportation. It is worth of checking in for beautiful pictures. However, the visitors must take good care of the children when walking on the bridge.

It is near Karai, a town which is situated near Perak River. It take us 40 minutes to drive from Ipoh to Karai by trunk road. It is a potential tourist attraction in Perak which we enjoyed. An scenic and fascinating view to see sunset here. Perak Tourism can take more proactive way to keep the place clean and safe

Local people using this brigde to across the river since long time ago. Now, since the government had declared this bridge as one of the historical place to visit, people come to take picture.

Victoria Bridge is situated in a small town called Karai, just about half an hour drive from Kuala Kangsar. The drive journey going through the rural area with scenic view of Malay villages. The bridge is just right at the end of Karai town.
Victoria Bridge is one of the oldest railway bridge in Malaysia, built Dec 1897-Mar 1900, stopped in use in 2002. However, the bridge is still open to the motorcycles and pedestrians.
This bridge is a good spot for photography too.
On return to Kuala Kangsar, you can drop by Kampung Sayong where you can by the "Labu Sayoung", a unique Perak Black Coloured pottery. Then, go across the Iskandar Bridge back to Kuala Kangsar.

Nice to review the year of 1897 engineering that last till now. Victoria Bridge is beautifully preserved and historical sight above the Perak River. It is a single track rail bridge constructed in 1897-1900 to cross over Perak River (Kuala Kangsar - Ipoh railway), stopped in use in 2002. However, the bridge is still open to the motorcycles and pedestrians. It is one of the oldest in the country constructed to serve local tin mining industry, and one of the most impressive.
On the other side of the bridge was a new bridge built by Malaysian Railway Limited. ETS train passing by using the new rail, a high wall separates the old bridge and the new bridge river. The gap is very big, so it was quite dangerous.
It is a fascinating scenic view to see sunset here. This bridge is a good spot for photography too. Perak Tourism can take more proactive way to keep the place clean and safe.
It is, as if in a moment, you're time traveller, on a forgotten timeline. Go across the bridge for a bit of thrills, as the bridge is 40 feet high from the ground/river. Very serene and majestic - early 1900 ingenuity at its best!
