The river flows into the sea here providing a place to swim and surf. The beach is stunning. Fine golden sand with rock pools to explore. Quiet calm waters along the tidal river allow for swimming. There is a surf school here too. A large cafe sits on the dune above the beach providing snacks and drinks at reasonable prices.

Clean sands. Few people. Transparent water. Fresh breeze and warm sunshine. Take a walk among the rock pools or along the river. It is a protected area so please leave the plants and animals where they are. Beware the strong currents at both sides of the bay. Good for surfing.

This beach is huge and beautiful. The flat profile supplies best surf conditions even for learners, the dunes lure to take a walk and collect some shells

Huge beach with clean white sand backed by sand dunes. A good surfing beach with some large breakers on the day of our visit. A car is essential as it is 6km from the main road. Unfortunately, the beach restaurant was not open on our day.

We walk our dogs along this beach at 7.30am and it's so beautiful. The sand and the blue lagoon that sweeps around the bend. The beach is a lovely long beach with lots of space for children to play. You can also book surfing lessons for the schools that are based on the beach most of the time. Once you... More

located near Aljezur, this location is natural and as yet unspoilt sandy beach. When arrived there you could hardly see people around. It was a fabulous place all to ourselves. It is apparently very popular with surfers. There are no shops so you will have to bring your own things with you. The only toilet available is at the restaurant... More

Beautiful beach situated near the village of Aljezur. On this beach we can take baths in the sea and in the river that drains in it. It has an extensive sand and dunes. Enjoy the detail of the black rock at the northern top of the beach reminiscent of a giant lying down. The narrow road to the beach, along... More

This beach stretches for a long way, you can walk and walk and walk. There is also a part where a river comes into the ocean.
