This year on my visit to Queensland I spent a whole week in a farm stay at Gumnuts. I had a lovely 3 bedroomed cabin for myself and family and the price was very competitive. We had wonderful views across the paddocks and all the usual facilities plus the supply of a very generous portion of food for us to cook... I was surprised when I read alot of bad reviews about this place because I had a really good time. The activities before hand were ok but the horse ride was really good. The activities included milking a cow (which I had done before), cracking a whip (which I couldn't do), throwing a boomerang and feeding the goats. The horse... More

With friendly people to greet you this place is very welcoming! Horses are friendly and very quiet, most almost bomb proof I swear though some are old and stubborn it’s better off that way rather than a bunch of young crazy ones that don’t stop! I found the ride very relaxing and calming with great riding hosts on the side... More

As stated before in many reviews this place does not live up to expectation. It is in need of a total overhaul and I left feeling very disappointed and sad. When we arrived we didn't even get introduced to or told that the 2 girls were to be our guides, they just handed us the disclaimer papers and asked us... More

Sorry to say all the negative reviews are true.we pulled up our ride early mostly because we felt so sorry for the aged horses struggling in the heat and rough terrain everything you read is true despite the retorts.Dont go and don't support this place more education is needed to run this place ethically.

My daughter (12) and her friend (9) went on that holiday camp. After I talked to her on the telephone 3 days into her stay, me and my friend decided to pick up the girls early. Apparently they stayed in a room with bunk beds but no windows or fans in the summer heat. Apart from the horse riding in... More

My son (7 years old) went to this camp and ever since he has come home he has been telling me about how much fun he has had. He said they put them into groups depending on ridding ability, then the got a YUMMY meet pie and veggies dinner and to finish it off they got jelly and custard or... More

I was very excited once I had booked a Groupon voucher for horse riding. We arrived today with no greeting at all from the staff, (about 3 young people, in their 20's), no smiles, just instructions for filling out a form, then to follow to the horse pen. We were then pointed to our horses with no instructions. I had... More

Sorry you had a "sad time" However there are a few statements that you made that were completely wrong or misleading and I feel compelled to correct the record. The staff were busy when you arrived because you arrived 30 mins early and while they broke from preparing the horses, they had to hurry back to it. Our horses are... More

I was very excited about our half day experience and horse ride but was extremely disappointed once I arrived. The most concerning thing for us was the condition of the horses. They were very bony and weak and seemed to be struggling with the trek. The trail was quite tough terrain also - uphill and very rocky and without horse... More
