上総鶴舞駅構内のはずれに昔発電所があったことを示す記念碑があります。今ではレトロな木造駅舎が人気で、ドラマの定番ロケ地といった感じです。途中下車おススメです。

小港鉄道が開業する前に、その電力を賄うためなどに開業した火力発電所があったことを示す記念碑です。東京電力に統合されその役目はなくなりましたが、小港鉄道を支えた証でもあります。少し墓標のような感じですが駅を利用する人にわかりやすいです。

小湊鉄道の上総鶴舞駅には鶴舞発電所があったことを記念する碑があります。
碑がある上総鶴舞駅は大きなけやきの木があり、里山風景が素敵な場所です。
鶴舞発電所記念碑は小湊鉄道開業時に鉄道の電源供給用に設置され、同時に近隣の各住居にも電源を供給したもので、役目を終えたことを記念して建てられたものです。
小湊鉄道の発電事業を史する重要な建物で、2017年5月2日に文化庁の登録有形文化財に指定されました。建物と記念碑はホームを挟んで立ち入り禁止場所にあるので、2017年7月現在はホームから遠目での見学になってます。
また、この上総鶴舞駅は里山の景色がきれいな駅として有名で関東の駅百選に選ばれ、駅舎側に関東の駅百選の記念碑があります。
きれいな景色なので、ドラマや映画の撮影がされていて人気アイドルグループのPV撮影されたことでファンの聖地になっていて、若い女性が多く訪れていました。
また、この上総鶴舞駅から茂原駅に向かう小湊バスには懐かしい旧型路線バスが使われているのでバスファンにも人気があります。
ホームにある、ベンチでゆっくりのんびり時間を過ごすことができます。大切な人と一緒に行きたくなる場所です。

小湊鉄道の上総鶴舞駅には、かつて発電所があったことを示す記念碑が建っています。小湊鉄道に電力を供給するために建てられた発電所だそうです。駅自体もレトロな雰囲気があって風情があります。
