小湊鉄道の上総大久保駅の真正面にあります。一つは枝からブランコが吊るされていて乗れます。2体のイチョウが並んで立っています。イチョウの葉っぱが下に落ちていて黄色の絨毯のようで綺麗でした。

小港鉄道の上総大久保駅にある2本のイチョウで、夫婦イチョウと名付けられたもの。見ごろは秋の高騰の時期の黄色に色づいたころです。電車の通過とあわせて雰囲気のある場所です。

上総大久保駅の向かいにあります。
きれいな里山風景を楽しめると人気がある場所です。
大きな銀杏と並んで、少し低い銀杏が並んでいて、その光景が
仲睦まじい夫婦のようだと地元の人々に愛されてきました。
まるで、トトロの森のようだと言われるその風景はどこか懐かしい感じがします。
夫の木には手作りのブランコがかけられていて誰でも利用することができます。
その素敵な風景を求め、多くのファッション雑誌やドラマの撮影で使われいて、
なかでもマクドナルドのＣＭは有名です。
そんな、夫婦銀杏が、一番人々で賑わう季節が紅葉の時期です。
黄色く染まった姿は日本の里山風景そのものです。
カップルで行くのにおすすめな場所です。

小湊鉄道の上総大久保駅の正面に立つ2本のイチョウの木です。寄り添うように並んで立っていて、秋には黄色に染まった美しい景観が広がります。

小湊鉄道は房総半島を横断する鉄道で、風光明媚な田園風景を眺めながらトコトコと田舎の雰囲気を味わうにはお勧めの電車です。
経路には養老渓谷も有り観光も楽しめますが、途中の駅にはちょっと面白いスポットも何カ所かあり、その一つが上総大久保駅。
上総大久保駅の面白ポイントは二つで、トトロと線路を挟んで向かい側にあるだい夫婦銀杏。
駅ホームの待合室には地元の小学生が描いた映画：となりのトトロの一場面が描かれておて、その光景が周囲の田園風景と溶け込むように合い、とっても素敵な田舎の駅を演出しています。
駅ホームに上がってその絵を眺めるのも良いですが、お勧めは線路を挟んだ向かい側の土手から眺める風景がお勧め。
特に夕方はホームに夕陽が射しこんで、暖かな色合いとなっていました。
夫婦銀杏は私が訪れた２月は葉っぱが無い状態で、若干見応えには欠けてしまいましたが、銀杏越しに眺めるトトロの描かれた駅の様子はホンワカで素敵な光景でした。
