Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The day after climbing Hakusan, a sacred mountain in Ishikawa Prefecture, we made a day trip to the Noto Peninsula.
The scars of the Noto Peninsula earthquake in January were still deep, homes were still destroyed in Wajima and traffic lights were still tilting.
The roadside station was also temporarily closed, but it seems that some rice was harvested in the rice terraces.
I really bow to the people who are working hard to recover.
The week after I just visited, I didn't know that this time we would be hit by a torrential rain disaster on a scale beyond our expectations once in a thousand years....
We hope that the reconstruction of infrastructure and livelihoods will proceed, although difficulties will continue.

Viewing the cliff-edge rice terraces from above
was a little different from what I had imagined.
You can go down the stairs from the roadside station and walk into the rice terraces.
It was cold, so I headed back at the roadside station.
I thought the sunset would be beautiful.
I think you can take some good photos before the rice harvest or after the water is filled.
The small roadside station was full of cars and buses.
The snack corner sold rice balls and noodles. The eating area was small and full.
The shop and souvenir section seemed to be crammed together.

This is a small restaurant that offers parking and includes a gift shop located at the Shiroyone Senmaida.I ate lunch here when I visited the rice fields. The food was simple and well-prepared and very inexpensive. It was extremely cold on the day we visited and being able to warm up inside this place was welcome.

You could say they have spoilt it with all the fairy lights across the rice paddy fields. All a bit twinkly Japanese although you would have to be there in the dark. If you walk down the fields you can get away from the crowds that arrive in the car park. I'm sure there is something environmental about placing all these lights in the fields. On the positive side nice ice creams at the top.

There is ample parking opportunity at this pocket park. The rice fields are in a pretty spectacular location with the ocean down below. There is a small shop and snack stand at this pocket park and they sell some souvenirs too. I had a rice ball and coffee and bought some peanut rice cakes to take with me, which were very nice. This is a nice little stop off on the meander around the Noto Peninsula.

We're staying at Kaiyu Notonosho and at check-in; the hotel offered to take us here for free at 5.15pm. We visited on 18 Nov and the sun sets at 5pm. By the time we arrived at Senmaida it was already 5.30pm and in pitch darkness. It's an amazing sight to see the rice fields all lit up by LED lights! So glad we came. However, we couldn't stay for too long as it was cold and very windy. Senmaida is very near to sea.

There is a small restaurant and snack stand. You see the rice field out side and you can taste the rice from there.
It's good for vegan, too. The souvenirs are also good quality, I found pudding without sugar and egg and sugar-free traditional pickles. Many people ate soft ice cream. I enjoyed shopping and it was nice rest place.

If you visit Shiroyone Senmaida by cars, there is no doubt that you park your car here in the road station. As a road station, it's small and nothing special but you can get good information about the Senmaida and pick up some products made from or with the rice produced in the Senmaida.

The area is interesting to see when the backdrop is so gorgeous. Many tour buses also stop so the experience varies depending on how many others are also there.
