Yes it is truly a formation unlike most others, but it is really just another tourist area. Lots of shopping and a good spot for a few photos, but don’t expect much more.

That’s awesome! Large scale, beautiful ocean and sky.. that view was breathtaking 🌈 Maybe you will be overwhelmed too.. like me :p If you go there, I recommend that you get on a sightseeing boat. Have a nice trip!

We self drive, the parking was 500yen but it is fully redeemable once we made a purchase of 1000yen and above in their souvenir store. The cliffs and rock formations are amazing!! Beyond description!! It was very windy so the waves was big and furious...More

It's a famous area of cliffs but not that spectacular, particularly given its location - a very long coast boasting many similar cliff scenery. Also the whole area which is a "national park" is full of car parks (all 500en) a main street of tourist...More

The rocks are really impressive. You can climb down or up. You can also take the boat trips to see the rocks from a distance.

When I went to Tojinbo I took keifuku bus from Awara-onsen station. You can buy bus ticket and find the timetable at the ticket counter of this station but I’m sorry I don’t know about Mikuni station :( You can search "京福バス... More
