It’s great to walk along the beach (the sea comes up a long way so the sand is good and firm) and soak up the sea air. The dunes and the nature reserve add to the tranquillity.

Went here after a walk through freshfields. Was very quiet and managed to sit and relax for a good hour. Worth a visit

Beautiful vast beach, with sand dunes. National Trust car park, or a 15-20 minute walk from Formby or Freshfield stations.

Hi, The Beer Station is dog friendly but you can only get drinks and crisps etc, or The Freshfield pub has a dog friendly area and has a full menu. Enjoy
