Located at the Mie Prefecture, Iga City is known to the birthplace of ninja. Really appreciate the ninja show probably because of my deep affection with Naruto and with ninjas in general. When I visited, there are two different kinds of shows available for tourists,...More

As the previous reviewer noted, this place is really for kids. Luckily, we had our 9 & 10 year olds with us! They enjoyed the museum and the little show afterwards. You really don't need to understand Japanese to see the show, it's mostly slapstick...More

Nice place but it's mostly for kids. The museum is tiny doesn't show much and presentation is in Japanese. If you don't have kids that understand Japanese better find a nother place to visit.

I took four easily manageable connecting trains from Kyoto to visit Iga with its Ninja history. Trains on the last route are brightly decorated with cartoon ninja faces and shurikens. The train station has mannequin ninjas. The park with the museum is on a hill...More

Not within the castle area per se but there are restaurants near the area with less than half-kilometer away which I think won't be a problem. Unlike the Fushima Inari Shrine or the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest that offers food... More

Check the website for show times (there's a link to the Ninja Show schedule). Shows don't happen every day, but they do happen on some weekdays.
