If you want to see some black bears, it looks like a good place. But do not expect to be "in their natural habitats". An artificial clearing with a lot of food attracts bears from all around but also tourists from all around. The hide is quite big, and we were probably 50 or more sitting inside. However the explanations... More

We were taken by bus into the forest and sat in a covered shelter, we were the only 2 English speakers and the guide did give us a good resume of what he had said in French. He was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the Bears, the company work with wild life officers rescuing young bears and sending them back... More

A chance to observe black bears from a platform in the forest. We were treated to nine different bears on our 2 hour trip. You are accompanied by the local natural scientist and what he doesn't know about bears isn't worth knowing! The most commendable aspect of the trip is that this is an actual research facility and the bears... More

we met up at the front desk at 6 pm. We watched a short video about black bears and the rescue program. A yellow school bus picked us up and took us to the location. These are wild black bears. You are pretty much guaranteed to see the bears because they leave food in the area at the same time... More

We enjoyed this activity, however, the value is debatable. Essentially you are taken to the woods, where food has been placed, and wait to watch the bears come and eat it. The guide is very knowledgeable. If you are from a rural area where bears prowl your garbage dump, this is not for you. If you are from a big... More

While we did not expect to encounter black bears in e totally wild environment, not sure that watching bears at a human-set "buffet table" was what we expected to see. We were given a "briefing" on black bears and the work of the organisation in re-introducing orphaned bears into the wild (a wonderful effort!), then taken on a short ride... More

We ( my wife in myself in our 40th) came to Tadoussac, QC from Richmond Hill, ON for the whale watching during the Thanksgiving long week-end ( Oct 10, 2015 ) and decided to use the opportunity also to observe the wild black bears. We had the whales chasing on zodiac in the morning and then had that bears observation... More

Bears are completely free but somehow conditioned to look for food precisely in front of the observation point. I understand the logic behind this: the bears know there will have food and they take it, in the other hand tourists can observe them from a safe distance, it seems to me it is a win-win situation. We saw five different... More

It was chilly. It is a show. We were asked to be there at 4pm but only left after 4.30pm.The film is a total waste of time. we saw many different bears¨(6 in total) - be ware, they are fed that is why you get to see them! The school bus driver/ guide is good fun but of course you... More
